Leaves Be Gone makes leaves decay extremly rapid after cutting down the logs on a tree. All leaves are gone after about one second (configurable). Additionally Leaves Be Gone is extremely efficient compared to similar mods and works great with leaves added by other mods!
▶️ You might have seen similar mods adding fast leaf decay before, but here is what makes Leaves Be Gone really stand out:
▶️ Out Of The Box Mod Compat: All mods that register their leaves in the minecraft:leaves
tag are automatically supported, even when their leaves don't extend vanilla Minecraft's leaves block (e.g. some of the large trees in the Terrestria mod by coderbot).
▶️ No Additional Block Updates / Block State Checks: Leaves Be Gone is extremely efficient when determining which leaves blocks to accelerate decay for. It hooks in just where vanilla decides when a leaves block is able to decay, so it doesn't have to do any calculations on it's own. Also no additional calculations are made elsewhere, like when harvesting logs or when other leaves blocks decay as similar mods do.
▶️ Works Properly Across Chunk / Level Reloads: Scheduled leaf decays are stored using Minecraft's native system for scheduling ticks, so when unloading and reloading the area leaf decay continues as it should without having to repeat any calculations or being interrupted.
⏩ INSTALLATION REQUIRED ON SERVER
⏩ REQUIRES PUZZLES LIB TO BE INSTALLED (FORGE & FABRIC)
⏩ REQUIRES FABRIC API TO BE INSTALLED (FABRIC)
⏩ REQUIRES FORGE CONFIG API PORT TO BE INSTALLED (FABRIC)
Configuration is easily possible directly from in-game using the mod menu (requires Mod Menu by Prospector to be installed on Fabric) by installing Forge Config Screens.
When it comes to manual configuration all files are found at .minecraft/config
, named as MOD_ID-client.toml
, MOD_ID-common.toml
, or MOD_ID-server.toml
depending on the type of config. Not all types might exist for this mod if any.
Note that on older mod versions server configuration files are found at .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/serverconfigs
, effecticely meaning they must be configured separately for each individual world.
