Master Tools: Overcharged

Overcharged is a mod all about energy. In Overcharged You'll create armor that can be charged with various means to power modules, granting you unique powers and abilities. The progression of Overcharged mirrors the vanilla one, and you'll be able to progress more as you go through the vanilla route.

Getting Started

To get started with Overcharged, you'll need a diamond, a bit of redstone, and some copper. Start by crafting up a generator and some copper armor.

You'll also probably want some Network Blocks.

Now you can get started with Charged Armor!

Charging Armor

Copper Armor stores a charge, which you can see when hovering over it in your inventory. You can charge it up in a few different ways, the easiest of which being a Generator. Standing on top of a Generator with Copper Armor equipped adds 20 charge pre second, which is currently the slowest way to charge your armor. Generators spread their power to connected Network Blocks, so place some around it for a larger charging pad. If you have enough resources, consider making the floor of your base out of network blocks and generators. That way you can charge while going about your regular activities.

Optimal Generator Setup

A better way to charge your armor is by supercharging a Generator. This can be done by having an explosion go off nearby the generator. A supercharged generator won't power network blocks, but it will charge your armor twice as fast.

Using Charge

Now that you have all this charge, your probably wondering what to do with it. Charge can be used to power modules. Of course, you don't have any modules yet. For now, hit the G key (you can rebind this to whatever you want) to toggle your armor on. This will use up 20 charge a second to give you a status effect. Each armor peice has it's own effect. The helmet grants haste, the chestplate strength, the leggings resistance and the boots speed. Hit G again to toggle it off.

The Dangers Of Charge

Now, your probably thinking, "haha, ill just afk on my generator for an hour and save up a ton of charge to use whenever i want!". This is a great strategy, but also a risk, as touching water will "discharge" the energy in your armor- into you. This can manifest as damage, explosions, and/or lightning. So... be prepared to duck for cover if it starts raining, because having only a few minutes of charge in your armor can kill you if your not careful.

Modules

To get started with modules, you'll want to make a Module Installer.

Module Installer Recipe

The Module installer has 3 slots, two for ingredients, and one for your armor. Three modules are currently available. Overcharged, Ability, and Charge Mending. Modules are sort of like energy-consuming enchants.

Overcharged

Overcharged doubles the potency of the status effect provided by your armor. It's crafted with a netherite ingot and bottle of enchanting. Overcharged consumes an extra 40 charge per second, which is more than even a supercharged generator can supply.

Ability

Ability adds a unique manual effect to each of your armor peice, triggered with a keybind. It's crafted with a diamond and lightning rod.

Armor Peice | Cost | Keybind | Ability

Helmet | 2400 | F9 | Lightning Ring (Eight bolts of lightning strike around you.)

Chestplate | 2400 | F10 | AOE damage (Deals a low amount of damage to all entities within 2 blocks of you. Useful for mob farms, impractical for combat)

Leggings | 2400 | F11 | Superjump (yeets you in the direction your looking)

Boots | 2400 | F11 | Speed Boost (20 seconds of lightning mcqueen)

Charge Mending Recipe

Charge Mending

Charge Mending is pretty self explanatory. It repairs your gear using charge. You craft it with any enchanted book and an iron block.
