Minimum requirement of ore before processing

Issue description

I've just encountered the new 3 ore to 4 dust in an enrichment chamber and suddenly started to realise the implications. I'm using the 1.18.2 version 10.2.4.464 and about 156 mods.

My issue is...What can I do to prevent the machines from clogging when they get down to less than 3 ores in the input slot or slots? Is there something I'm missing? How will this effect a triple (probably not) or quadruple process when all machines will get blocked up or is this only relevant for 'double' processing? Would it be possible to make the machines not accept ores unless there are the required input of 3, or multiples of 3, and to discharge any ore that clogs up a system?

Is it possible to turn off the 3 ore requirement in the configs? At least until I can figure out how to redesign my ore processing setup using another mod to limit what goes in.

My apologies if this question has been asked before.

If you silk touch the ores, it's still 1-2. This was added because fortune can multiply raw ores.

As mentioned you can use silk touch to get the ore blocks which have the same recipe they have always had of only requiring one. Alternatively you could create raw ore storage blocks (which while that does bump the resource requirement from 3 to 9, does make it so that it is divisible by one for when you insert it into the machines. Alternatively you can use a datapack, crafttweaker, or kubejs to remove the recipes and add new ones with different input amounts.

I'm in the very early game stage so silk touch and fortune are a while away. Even if I had an atomic disassembler (one of my favorite tools) it's not possible to put any enchantments on it. Then there is the digital miner that has silk touch - but I'm no where near that either or the power it will chew through. I don't think fortune on it's own would solve the issue either way.

I'm tempted to change recipes - but have decided against it as it's another challenge that needs to be accepted due to the ore drop changes. I think I have to alter my early game approach for 1.18+ and the raw ore storage block suggestion fits best for early game at this point.

So no more 'dump in chest' and 'leave it to process' after mining runs without compacting or counting multiples of 3. However, Mekanism is still going to be my 'goto' mod.
