ModernMinecarts
The Minecart Update you've been waiting for.
ModernMinecarts is all about rekindling your love for Minecarts.
It makes them a viable method of transportation for both players and items, while feeling more like an update than a mod.
Features
Copper Rails:
Copper Rails are twice as fast as powered rails. However, they slow down as they age.
To prevent that, wax them using honeycombs or scrape off unwanted oxidization with an axe.
You can upgrade powered rails into copper rails using a new copper smithing template, which can be found in abandoned mineshafts and villages.
In Version 1.19.x, they are crafted like regular powered rails with copper instead of gold.
Chaining Minecarts:
Chains now allow you to create trains with as many minecarts as you want!
Connected chest and hopper minecarts also share their inventory, allowing you to load and unload entire trains using a single hopper minecart.
Furnace Minecarts also got a UI, accept any kind of fuel, and share their inventory as well, allowing them to refuel from connected minecarts!
They also load the chunks around them while running, meaning you don't have to stick around for them to work!
Other Rail blocks:
Rail Jump: These ramps allow you to bridge ravines, spice up your rollercoasters, and are just plain fun. They are crafted with a normal rail and a stick, or by right-clicking on a rail using a stick.
Rail Crossing: A simple intersection, pretty self explanatory.
Powered Detector Rail: Powered Detector Rails merge the functionalities of powered and detector rails. When they detect a full minecart above (either a minecart with a player or a full chest/hopper minecart), they power and accelerate the minecart without the need for a slope or block behind it.
Can be inverted to power on empty minecarts instead.
Smaller Changes:
- Doubled results of the powered rail crafting recipe from 6 to 12 rails.
- Doubled the base speed of furnace minecarts to the speed of powered rails.
- Reduced air drag on minecarts to allow for further jumps

Huge thanks to Cammie, who's mod MinecartTweaks the chaining mechanic is based on.
