BIG ANNOUNCMENT

This mod, along with any other mods I've made in the past, are no longer being worked on. This is cause either Mcreator's workspace has broken, and wont let me edit them, or im not happy with the mods. Don't worry! New mods are in the progress of being created (Though with much higher quality, and for 1.16.5 as that's the version that Mcreator has the most feature support for) Thank you for being patient.

NOTE

This mod can be played independently from the original, but its recommended that you use both for the best adventuring experience. This mod just adds content that I cant add to the original because the mcreator workspace for that mod was glitched. The Original and 2nd Addon can be found here:

Addon 2: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/more-biomes-official-addon-2

Basic Info

This Addon for my Previous Mod, More Biomes, aims to add, well, more biomes to the game. this addon currently adds 32 biomes, bringing the total to 56 if you download the original mod. These biomes aim to improve your exploration and give you more building materials such as new wood types. If you have any biome or dimension suggestions, let me know in the comments.

Biomes

Bayou

A swampy place with tall bayou trees which can grown on both land and in the murky green waters, mud can be found here, which can be turned into mud bricks. Adds 1 new wood type and a new building material.

Archipelago

This Biome is essentially a mixture of ocean and land, which can form some really nice islands, some are barely big enough to build on, others are large and offer plenty of building space, custom oak trees can be found growing here. doesn't offer much apart from some nice views and two new flowers.

Bluebell Forest

This biome was originally gonna be part of the original mod before I decided that I didn't like it, but now its back and offers adventures a chance to gather lots of light blue dye. Doesn't offer much apart from a new flower.

Dry Forest

A generic oak forest that has dried up, in the future, this biome will receive a new kind of wood, such as dry wood, but for the time being not much can be found here.

Jacaranda Field

A field with Jacaranda trees scattered around, not much else to say. Offers 1 new wood type.

Crystal Forest

A mountainous place, with large crystals that protrude through the ground, these crystal currently offer no use, but will be essential when I come up with a good dimension idea.

Grove

A cold biome where forests of tall, slender grove trees grow, with a couple of oak trees mixed in. 1 New wood type can be collected here. (Might make big mushrooms grow here to add a bit of a magical touch)

Tropical Archipelago

A tropical variant of the archipelago biome, with forests of fiscus trees, and in the future this biome will have lots of different flowers, similar to the tropical biomes of my previous mod, though they wont be the exact same flowers, as that could break the compatibility of this mod with the original. 1 New wood type grows here in vast amounts.

Rose Field

A biome based loosely on fields of flowers found in the Mediterranean, Rose bushes (1 block tall) cover the ground here, in four different colours such as: red, pink, white and cream/yellow. Not much else can be found here other than oak trees.

Red Desert

A variant of the desert biome, but with red sand. Good if you want to build in a area with lots of red sand without the giant clay mountains found commonly in Mesa biomes.

Tropical Mountains

A tropical variation of a mountain biome, with forests of fiscus trees. Not much else to say.

Acacia Forest

A sub-tropical biome with lots of acacia trees. Might add more content to this biome later.

Maple Forest

A forest of maple trees, at the moment maples are just an oak tree with recoloured leaves, but maples will eventually have their own logs, which can be sliced open with a sword to obtain syrup which needs to be collected with a glass bottle.

Fir Forest

This biome is a forest of fir trees. You can obtain fir planks from this biome, not much else to say.

Vineyard

A field of grapevines, which can either be harvested for grapes, which can be used to make wine if you place grapes and a glass bottle in the crafting grid, or you can start your own plantation.

Cursed Bayou

Crimson waters soak into the very ground itself, turning this once regular bayou into a cursed land of many horrors. Cursedstone is often found underground in these biomes. (eventually evil shrines will be able to be found here, made out of cursedstone)

Brumal Wastes

A cold wasteland with a couple of oak trees here and there, this biome is extremely inhospitable, meaning crops wont grow here unless you give them warmth through torches and/or glowstone.

Brumal Forest

Similar to the Brumal Wastes, but instead of occasional oak trees, there are oak forests, basically the opposite of the Dry Forest.

Wastes

A variation of the desert, which is even more Scarce, despite the fact that oak trees are quiet common here, no-one wants to live here as crops are not able to grow here unless you bring dirt from a different biome. Will eventually have some kind of abandoned building, such as a hospital, church or a laboratory, based loosely on Fallout.

Fungal Field

This Area was once just a normal patch of land, however once pale mushrooms came along the area became a breeding ground for them. Giant mushrooms dominate the landscape here.

Fungal Forest

Similar backstory to the Fungal Field, but this area is covered mostly in pale mushrooms.

End Forest

This land has been taken over by the end and is slowly being consumed by forces unknown, or at least that's what the local legends say. No one knows where this biome came from, or whether it will spread into the other biomes of our world, all we know is that it wasn't here before. (If possible in mcreator, I'll make it so this biome only starts generating if you have killed the Ender Dragon, there will also be more content such as end deserts, more end flora and some new structures)

Volcanic Wastes

This area of land was at one point in time a lush forest with animals running around the forest floor, you wouldn't even be able to guess that now however, as the floor is made of basalt, and there are numerous volcanoes here, most if not all of which recently erupted sometime before you woke up.

Cursed Desert

A Desert that has been placed under a mysterious curse. The sand has since been soaked in blood, and the Cacti growing out of control.

Flower Field

This Biome is a field of flowers. There are 7 flowers that grow here, and every flower that grows here can be found in Flower Forests as well.

Rocky Valley

This biome is based of the real world Garden of the Gods in Colorado. It has large formations of Terracotta, which creates some really nice landscapes.

Graveyard

This Biome is littered with graves and is devoid of all colours except for grey and light blue.

Birch Plains

Plains biome but with birch trees, not much else to say.

Mangrove Forest

A biome almost identical to the bayou but with mangrove trees and more vibrant grass.

Graywood Forest

A biome of graywood trees, this place is extremely dark and foreboding.

Dry Field

Same as Dry Forests, but a lot less trees

Wetland

A flat land with large bodies of water, mud can be found here. Not much else to be found here

Blocks/Materials

Mudbricks, stairs and slabs

Think of the red bricks from the base game but brown. Mud can be found in any swampy biome ( Swamps, Bayous, Mangrove Forests and Wetlands_

Quartz Bricks, Stairs and Slabs

Crafted similar to stone bricks, except with quartz blocks, stairs and slab crafted the same way you craft all other stairs and slabs, but with quartz brick. Can make some cool looking roman/greek buildings.

Sandstone Bricks, Stairs and Slabs

These bricks are crafted by placing 4 smooth sandstone into the crafting grid as if you were making a crafting table, the stairs and slabs are crafted the same way anyother stairs and slabs are crafted but with sandstone bricks.

Cursedstone

A new type of stone, found only in Cursed Bayous. There is Polished, Smooth, Bricks (with stairs and slab variants), Decorative and Pillars. crafted in a similar fashion to quartz.

Food

Grapes and Wine

Grapes are currently only found in vineyard biomes, and can either be eaten straight after harvest, or turned into wine by placing grapes and a glass bottle in the crafting grid. The glass bottle is added back to your inventory upon consumption of the wine. At the moment wine doesn't do much other than satisfy hunger, but will eventually come with effects including nausea (as a payoff so you can either eat the grapes on their own, or turn them into wine to fill your hunger up twice as fast but have the nausea effect for a bit)

Syrup

This food source can be harvested from maple trees, to gather maple syrup, right click on the tree with any sword and then right click with a glass bottle on the log you just cut open. At the moment you can only drink it but eventually you can use it for more food items.

Structures

Cursed Alter

This Structure is what's left of a cult that inhabited the area shortly before you woke up. These small alters usually hide treasure underneath them, and don't even try to hide it, having very obvious levers.

Volcano

These volcanoes were never here before you fell asleep, in fact the area around them used to be lush forests full of many rare flowers and animals. Something supernatural has defiantly created these.

Burnt House

These were at one point habitable, now they are husks of their pasts.

Large Gravestone

Who could possibly be burried here? A king? A Lord? Something sinister? Who knows?

Creatures

Lava Crawler

A species of spider native to the volcanic wastes, they are extremely fast, and very hostile. if you see one of these and you have little to no weapons or armour, run.

Tool/Armour Sets

Vilium

Vilium is a resource found in the end forests, it is about as strong as diamond, but with more durability, making it useful for just about everything, it has a violet hue and is very common, to balance this, the end forests are very rare, meaning you'll have to travel anywhere between 700+ blocks to thousands of blocks away, unless you spawn in the biome, in which case, good on you.

Ideas

Ancient Temple: an ancient temple built out of quartz, with treasures of gold and diamonds inside.

Mayan style temples: This structure will be based of an ancient Mayan temple and built out of mud bricks, they will only generate in tropical biomes.

Known Issues

  • Trees can sometimes spawn looking really weird, until I find away to stop this, you'll just have to deal with it. This Doesn't affect gameplay though, it just makes trees look uglier.
