probably because of the syntax highlight, doesn't happen when the string is invalid.
maybe add a toggle to disable the syntax highlight?

Text is definitely one of the worst parts of the mod in terms of performance, but making it automatically disable syntax highlighting if it takes too long to process is not a bad idea
