NineZero's Gun Expansion is an addon mod for MrCrayfish's Gun Mod that adds additional weapons and attachments in an aesthetically simple style. These weapons are designed and modeled to fit in with the weapons from the Gun Mod, while maintaining key details that help define each weapon.

The original CGM weapons are not left out either: the CGM Audio/Visual Enhancements resource pack updates several weapon models and gun sounds to more closely match those from NZGE, and is designed to be used alongside NZGE.

Important: Obfuscate is required instead of Framework for the 1.16.5 release.

Feature List:

  • Eight new weapons to use. By default, these weapons are balanced to fit in with the default CGM weapons.
  • One ammo item: the Medium Bullet, used by some of the rifles in this addon.
  • An assortment of attachments, including barrels, stocks, a sight, and a grip.
  • Crafting recipes for all items, allowing them to be used in survival mode.

Detailed Weapon Overview:

Revolver

Ammo: Basic Bullet x6

Attachments: Barrel, Scope

A trusty and powerful six-shooter. While it lacks the capacity or fire rate of a conventional pistol, the Revolver delivers higher damage per shot with better accuracy.

Micro SMG (Formerly the 'Uzi')

Ammo: Basic Bullet x32

Attachments: Barrel, Scope, Stock

Although comparatively 'micro' in size, this submachine gun is no pushover. The Micro SMG's M.O. is spray and pray taken to its logical extreme, tearing through enemies through sheer bullet volume alone. While limited by its mediocre recoil and only moderate ammo capacity for its rate of fire, this box full of bullets is hard to beat in close quarters.

Submachine Gun

Ammo: Basic Bullet x30

Attachments: Barrel, Scope, Stock, Under Barrel

Essentially a two-handed machine pistol. The Submachine Gun is a venerable weapon with a high rate of fire and good controllability. It can take all four types of attachments, giving it greater versatility and adaptability than the machine pistol.

Heavy Assault Rifle

Ammo: Medium Bullet x30

Attachments: Barrel, Scope, Stock, Under Barrel

The Heavy AR is a more unwieldy automatic rifle when compared to the standard AR. High recoil, high accuracy dropoff, and high damage make this rifle an unruly beast that can deliver the pain when tamed. It works best when fired in controlled bursts.

Battle Rifle

Ammo: Medium Bullet x20

Attachments: Barrel, Scope, Stock, Under Barrel

This long-barreled automatic rifle specializes in extended-range combat. Although it can only load 20 rounds at a time and has notable recoil, the Battle Rifle's higher accuracy and power enable it to put down sustained fire on distant targets more effectively than the other automatic rifles.

Hunting Rifle

Ammo: Medium Bullet x1

Attachments: Barrel, Scope

A single-shot rifle with pinpoint accuracy and very high muzzle velocity owing to its lower-caliber round. The Hunting Rifle is not only a dependable long-range weapon, but its lower iron cost makes it more affordable than other long-range rifles.

Sniper Rifle

Ammo: Medium Bullet x6

Attachments: Barrel, Scope, Grip

The militarized brother of the Hunting Rifle. The Sniper Rifle strikes a balance between power and rate of fire, putting it right between the standard Rifle and the Heavy Rifle in performance.

Hunting Shotgun

Ammo: Shell x4

Attachments: Barrel, Scope

A long-barreled pump-action shotgun. While not able to be fired as fast as the standard shotgun, the Hunting Shotgun delivers more damage per shot with a tighter spread cone. It also costs less iron to craft than the standard shotgun.

Versions:

NineZero's Gun Expansion is available for 1.19.3, 1.19.2, and 1.18.2, and 1.16.5.

1.18.2+

All versions for 1.18.2+ are currently actively supported, meaning they will receive all content updates simultaneously, and bugfixes as needed.

1.19.2 is also the primary development version, where I initially implement and test new items and/or features before porting them to the other versions.

1.16.5

1.16.5 backport versions are supported, but will update less frequently and later than other versions due to differences in CGM's codebase between 1.16.5 and 1.18.2+. Due to these code differences, these versions may also be missing items or features at times.

Q&A:

Q: Can I use this in my modpack?

A: Yes you may. As a courtesy, please include the mod's name and/or a link to it on your modpack's page or mod list. On CurseForge, a modpack's the Relations/Dependencies list serves as the pack's mod list.

Q: Why do the releases for 1.19.3/1.18.2/1.16.5 start at 1.1.1 instead of 1.0.0/1.2.0/2.0.0?

A: I decided to make those releases start at 1.1.1 so that their version numbers would reflect the state of the mod across all Minecraft versions. All of these releases are effectively ports of release 1.1.1 for 1.19.2, so this version number was kept for the other releases to ensure version number parity.

Q: Why is the Dot Sight missing from the 1.16.5 versions?

A: The latest CGM version for 1.16.5 (1.2.6) uses a different implementation and rendering system for scope attachments compared to 1.3.0+ on 1.18.2+. Due to this, I have opted to not include the Dot Sight in the short term; it will be added in a future update once I decide the best way to implement it.

Q: Can you add x/y/z?

A: I cannot guarantee that I will add the guns/items you want. I do look at comments and any suggestions included in them, but what I add ultimately depends on what I feel would fit in with the rest of NZGE's content.

I have a roadmap of various planned or considered additions included as a project on the mod's GitHub page. You may find that what you're suggesting is already planned or in consideration.
