     A dangerous Pathogen has been unleashed in your Minecraft world destroying its peacefull flore and fauna and giving birth to horrible blood thirsty creatures, the Mutants. Ladies and gentlemen let me introduce you Pathogen : a Monster plague mod.

PLEASE NOTICE THAT THIS MOD IS FAR FROM BEING FINISHED, MORE MUTANT SPECIES ARE PLANNED AS WELL AS A NEW BIOME VARIANT, NEW WEAPONS/ARMORS, CUSTOM STRUCTURES, A NEW CORRUPTED BIOME AND AN IMPROVED CONTAMINATION SYSTEM. CONSIDER THE FACT THAT IT IS AN EARLY ACCESS MOD THAT COULD SOMETIMES LEADS TO BUGS AND CRASHES.(SO INSTALLING IT ON YOUR 15 YEARS HARDCORE WORLD MIGHT NOT BE A GOOD IDEA) 

This mods requires the Geckolib api in order to work properly

     Wanna add more difficulty and game objectives to Minecraft ? Do not search any further. By installing this mod, your Minecraft world will now be filled with a plethora of new ennemies(more than 60 different one at the moment, more coming). Of course to defend yourself you will be able to craft new weapons, armors and much much more. With Pathogen installed, you'll encounter various species of reptile like beasts (each coming in 6 different biome version with different abilities/design based on it) forge some of the most powerful weapons(with different powers based on the biome thing as well) and even more.

It is highly recommanded to play with JEI installed (or any craft shower mod) and with fov effects significantly reduced( cause the mod use a lot the speed and slowness effects)

Biome variant:

-In Pathogen mod, you will face a TON of new monsters, including different main species, biome variants, incomplete forms...etc These creatures are evolutive, which means that depending on the biome, and the animal corrupted (explanations below),
the mutant will be completely different, with different stats, abilities, resistances and even sometimes general appearance... Currently, the main mobs are prowlers, poisoners, walkers, sentinels, swimmers and enforcers.
Each can adapt to the biome they're developing in. The six variants are jungle, mesa, swamp, ender, crimson forest, and the mythical warped forest version

Mesa :



-The mutants born in a mesa biome or any harsh biome in general are the most resilient of their kind. They can absorb a lot of damage and give you very long lasting effects by biting you. They're just like unstoppable tanks...
Swamp :

-The creatures of the swamp are the most vicious of all. The deadly venom poison coming from their teeth is the nightmare of all players... Nausea, blindness, poison, everything to paralyse you
and make you unable to fight, while other hunters will flank you and finish the kill... They tend to have lower health and but greater speed and strenght than other variants
Jungle :

-The jungle beasts are interesting creatures, the jungle poison bein a very different one, weakening the player and paralysing him... Like the swamp variant, those guys really like ambushes, so take care while walking alone in the jungle...
Warped :

-The warped forest type is a very unique variation of mutant. They can become totally invisible to hunt their prey down, or make some parts of their body glow to attract it. Also known as the ghost variant, they only spawns in warped forests. Its poison is a combination of a glowing and levitation effect.
Crimson :

-As if the nether wasn't dangerous enough... Ladies and gentlemen this is the nether variant of the most dangerous mob in the game. It is faster, deals more damage and has a stronger poison effect...
But just like the netherack, it really isn't very durable... Personally, I'll recommand you to shoot it from the distance like a coward. Trust me, getting set on fire while having a wither and weakness effect isn't very pleasant...
Ender :

-The ender dimension is for most of us... well, an end. But with those demons, you'll have waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more work... To adapt itself in one of the most dangerous place in the minecraft world, the end variant of our creatures developed crazy abilities. Capable of concentrating static electricity to strike you with a powerfull lightning, this variant is also capable of removing all positive potion effects from its target while poisoning it with a powerfull wither-glowing combo and crushing you with its Supernatural strenght. While searching the end city, those things are going to be a perfect nightmare...
 
 Creatures :
For this section, we'll only show you pictures of the swamp variant, because there would be too many pictures to upload. Thank you for your comprehension.
Sentinels :


-Unable to fight, those creatures are nevertheless a real pain in the ass. Blind, they are able to spot you in a 15 block radius if you don't sneak, and will warn its congeners by launching an alert shout. Kill it before its too late, or you will have to fight several of its little friends emerging from the grounds
Prowlers :


-Coming from the corruption of a pig, a sheep, a cow, a horse or a donkey, prowlers are the most common mutants. Prowlers don't have any particular abilities excepting their poison, but they can be found almost everywhere... They can drop usefull loot upon death, used for dark magic, weaponry and brewery such as mutant scales and bones.

Walkers :

-Result of the match between pathogen and either a piglin, a pillager, a player or a villager, walkers are amongst the most powerfull mutants. To compensate for their relatively weaker poison, those creatures are performing high knockback attack. You should take care about that, sometimes it can be quite surprising...
Poisoners :

-This terrifying mutant lizard was well named... The poisoner is a hyper venomous creature, having the strongest poison effects of the entire mutant race and a thick armor preventing damages from most projectiles. Those rare creatures come from the corruption of a witch.
Enforcers :

The tanky beast you're seeing now is named an enforcer. This may also be the last thing you'll see since this mutant is probably one of the most powerfull mutant of the mod. Don't underestimate this taurus looking monster, you'd be surprised by the ENORMOUS amount of damage he can do by just biting your ass. Add to that a very thick armor luckily letting projectiles go through, and you get one of the most tough to kill creature ever. They're the result of the corruption of a ravager or a hoglin

Marauders :


You have a strong armor that helps you fighting the hords of mutants ? Well that's not a problem for this guy. Possessing a high health an high melee, the marauder will inflicts fatal blows to your armor while poisoning you. And when I say fatal blows I mean it will ABSOLUTELY SHREDD IT. A netherite armor won't last long against these beasts, inflicting more than 40 times more damage to your armor than usually. It wouldn't be stupid to use a crappy armor without enchants to fight one, I'm sure you wouldn't appreciate loosing your full protection IV netherite armor on something like this... The marauder is the pathogen versions of a wolf or a fox
Infectors :

Ladies and gentlemen let me introduce you the world corrupter ! This rare mutant subspecies is highly agressive and will attack any viable host for the pathogen. Coming from the corruption of an enderman, this deadly mutant species will contaminate everything.
Incomplete forms :

-After getting contaminated by pathogen, the contaminated creatures can eventually transform into intermediate forms which will later transform into a fully grown mutant, depending on the biome, and of course the species corrupted...

Secret mutants :
Not spawning in the wild, you will need to do some pathogen experiments if you want to know what they look like. Some of these species may have very interesting properties you could weaponize to your own advantage, so wake up the scientist sleeping in you, create a well-secured laboratory and start your experiments. Beware that some of your creation could become out of your control very fast...

Weapons :

Ok so now we have big dangerous monsters roaming around the entire minecraft world. So how do we fight them ? Fortunately, Pathogen comes with some powerfull weapons you'll absolutely need if you want to rule your world again. Please notice that most of those requires netherite, so you better have plenty of it if you want to be truly hard to kill.
The katana :

The first weapon of our list is a classic weapon, made from hardened iron ingots, mutant bone and a biome ingot, this weapon has 6 variants just as the creatures themselves, each with their special potion effect and abilities. Fast and devastating, these blades are incredibly satisfying to use, the hardened steel helping the blade absorbing all the energy of the mutant essence. Also, this blade has a cool elemental-burning effect to lacerate your enemy with style.
The Slayer :

This weapons are massive slow swords with a huge damaging potential. Just like the majority of the mod's weapons, it comes with 6 biome variants, each with a special ability you can use by right clicking, custom stats for each etc...
Battle hook :

A very versatile armor shredding weapon that can be used as a sword, a pickaxe and an axe at the same time. This multitool deals huge damage to armors, has a powerfull poison effect depending on the biome variant, a relatively low swing speed and decent damages
Scale armor

This armor exists in 6 different flavours (jungle, swamp, mesa, ender,crimson and warped) each offering a different potion effect and a 20% damage increase with weapons of the same biome type(does not stack with any damage enchants)

Mutant Steel armor :


The mod's strongest armor, and you'll need it. An end game exoskeleton with incredible abilities. Every variants have in common a jump and speed boost with an immunity to the armor biome's poison effects and a +35% damage with the weapons of the same biome type. Each armor has additional bonuses depending on the biome type.

Mecanics :

 Catalyst mecanic :

If you want to create all the mutant killing stuff of the mod, you're going to need hardened chitin ingots. In order to get this precious material, you have to combine a chitin horn, a phantom membrane and a netherite ingot in a new block : the catalyst. Being unbreakable and not craftable, it can be found on the top of an altar-like structure in plains and dark forests. Just place the 3 ingredients in the specific slots and turn it on, the catalyst will use the power of lightning to merge them into a beautiful hardened chitin ingot.
