Crash to desktop when swinging excalibur

Good afternoon,

I have been testing mods recently while working on a pack, and while testing Plants I noticed that I am getting a crash to desktop when swinging the Excalibur. It seems to crash at the point where it tries to generate the projectile. Here is what I have done so far:

  1. To start with, here is an initial crashlog: https://pastebin.com/r6tfmA5D

  2. I was testing in a test world without actually progressing through Botania. I tried repeating things after giving myself a mana tablet and a creative mana tablet, but this did not make a difference. Though if there are other Botania steps that need to be completed first for this item to function, then please let me know.

  3. I tested Botania's Terra Blade, but it successfully generates projectiles without crashing.

  4. I repeated the test of Excalibur with a separate profile using a greatly simplified the modlist. I added just Botania, Plants, and JEI to a fresh instance, so as to remove potential complications like Optifine, etc. Excalibur still caused the same crash in this basic setup.   5. This is taking place with the following versions:
    Minecraft: 1.12.2
    Forge: 14.23.3.2691
    Botania: r1.10-354
    Plants: 1.12.2-2.8.4
    Placebo: 1.12.2-1.3.4
