1. **Enhancement** (Add/Change something)

Details: I have this mod in my skyblock modpack. It solves the issue of the end portal in a different way than most skyblock packs. But I find a couple structure item recipes unbalanced for skyblock; the Grassy Plain and the Fish Pond. 1 grassy plain gives the resources for 10+ grassy plains. Right now I have the recipe off and just give it as a quest reward but it would be nice if I could enable a recipe that used 1-2 rows of double compressed dirt instead of 1 row of regular dirt. Similar issue with the fish pond, the generated structure can supply enough resources for multiple more of the same structure or other structures. Maybe using compressed (double or triple) sand and/or dirt in place of the regular sand. In normal worlds where these items are just landscaping the recipes are fine.

I think I could do this.

I have used prefab in a skyblock pack, but I didn't think of this. It's a fair point. The cheatiest thing I do is use the mineshaft on the starter house as a way to get below the island, because water scaffolding is not my friend. I wonder if there are any other unintentional exploits when using this on a skyblock setup? Maybe I'll have to look when I get home.

For the Grassy Plains, I am thinking 1 row of Double Compressed Dirt and a second row above that as Compressed Dirt with the tall grass as the cap.

For the Fish Farm I can replace the Sand with Double Compressed Dirt. We don't have a Compressed Sand right now and the farm does add a fair amount of dirt.

That got me thinking about the compressed sand thing. I haven't played with Prefab for a bit (probably a couple of updates, now), but the fish farm is the only one that creates a structure with sand, isn't it?

commented

Yeah, pretty sure that is the only one with sand in the recipe.

Yes, the fish pond is the only item the uses sand. Though if you select the desert house among the starting house options it also comes with sand.

And those recipes sound like they would help balance them for skyblock packs as an option.

commented

I think those recipes sound a bit more balanced anyway. Especially the grassy plain. I was asking about the sand, because I was almost hoping I could come up with an excuse for compressed sand. LOL. There are other mods that allow you to do compressed materials like sand and gravel, but I like your textures. ๐Ÿ˜†

I am going to make these recipes the only ones to make the associated item. They were too cheap to begin with. Grassy Plains was originally intended as a land flattener but with bulldozer now, that's less necessary.

For a starting item, I have come up with a way which allows modpack developers to determine which item a player can get when they start. The existing options for adding the starting house and replacing the starting house with the moderate one are going to be removed.

The options are:

  1. Starting House (the original flavor) - This is the default.
  2. Moderate House (Extra Strength)
  3. Structure Part (BYOB - Bring your own building)
  4. Nothing (Life's not fair)

You click the button to cycle through the options.
Screen shots below, I will fix grammar when I am more awake.
