About:
Prehistoric Delight is an addon for Farmer's Delight and Prehistoric Fauna which adds new dishes and recipes, balanced for survival. Currently adds new food items and quality of life recipes, which is useful on modpacks.You can see it in Images section.
Current Content:
Prehistoric Delight adds new types of knives, cookable dishes, drinks, and even pet food. Some of these not only satisfy hunger, but also reward you with positive effects. Most of the recipes are done via FD's Cooking Pot and Cutting Board, while others are made at vanilla crafting stations. Use Just Enough Items to view all recipes in-game, or go check Images tab. Below you can see description of all new features.
🔪Knife & Cutting Board
- Three new knife types made from Thagomizer, Dromaeosaur Claw or Tyrannosaur Tooth. Last one is the best.
- New knives has fast speed, but low damage. Can be used at cutting board for all farmer's delight recipes, or to harvest Ham and Straw.
- Fossils can now be smashed into bone meal at cutting board. Use geological hammer instead of knife.
- Any Time Gems can be smashed into shards with same tool at cutting board.
🐟Prehistoric Fish
- Prehistoric fishes can now be used for different mod recipes.
- Cut a raw fish with a knife to get bone meal and two pieces of prehistoric fillet.
- Use fillet instead of any raw fish in recipes.
- Cooked fish can be also cutted into cooked fillet and bone meal.
- Crassostrea Oyster can be opened with a knife, giving Raw Oyster and bone meal.
🌴Prehistoric Plants
- Osmunda and it's tall variant can be cut with a knife into double amount of orange dye.
- All prehistoric fibrous plants can be cut with a knife into double amount of plant fiber.
- Plant Fiber can be dried into straw in furnace or campfire.
- Moss Block and Carpet can be cutted with shears into moss balls at cutting board.
- Ptilophyllum can be used instead of cabbage in cooking.
🌿Cladophlebis Bale
- Crafted at workbench from six Cladophlebis and three Plant Fiber.
- Cannot be eaten by player. It's pet food, like Dog / Horse Food from Farmer's Delight.
- Feed this to Ischigualastia to give her Regeneration, Resistance and Speed II for 3 minutes.
🍖Simple Meals
- These are made at vanilla crafting stations and just restore hunger.
- Cooked Myledaphus. Just cook raw Myledaphus at furnace / campfire / smoker to make it tastier!
- Foliage Salad from most of prehistoric plants. Restores some hunger.
- Scrambled Dino Eggs. Gather any three dino eggs and made yourself an amazing breakfast.
- Baked Tuber. Just throw a tuber in a furnace / campfire / smoker.
- Tuber Soup. Combine a pair of baked tubers with a bowl, and bon appeti.
- Cooked Fillet. Cut a fish, then cook it. Very simple.
- Cooked Oyster. Open oyster with a knife at the cutting board, then cook in smoker!
- Zamites Pie. Combine everything you need for a pie with zamites. Result is very crunchy.
- The pie can be cutted with a knife into four pieces, like other cakes from Farmer's Delight.
🥗Enhanced meals
- These are harder to cook, has high stats and some even grants you potion effects! Crafted at cooking pot.
- Root Stock. Combine vanilla vegetables with tuber, and boost your speed for a half minute.
- Cyclurus Ukha. Boil some kelp with rice and a strange green fish to have a smelly soup. Grants water breathing
- Myledaphus Fin Soup. Some onion, potatoes and extinct fish. What a good recipe to repeat at home kitchen! Grants Dolphin Grace.
- Ancient Sea Chowder. All prehistoric fish species in a bowl. No buffs, but very nutritious!
- Sauropod Steak. Go hunt some Camarasaurs and combine their meat with potato and cabbage! One of the best foods, grants absorbtion
- Stego, Ankylo and Tyranno dishes are the hardest and tastiest. They are served in an ankylo scale(osteoderm) instead of bowl, and grants Resistance, Haste and Strength respectively.

🍹Drinks
- 2 New drinks added: Osmunda Tea & Zamites Syrup.
- Tea is made from Osmunda and fiber. It grants few exp orbs upon drinking.
- Syrup is made from zamites and sugar. It removes only debuffs from player. Like a milk, but better.

Prehistoric Delight sprites are drawn by me, based on Farmer's Delight and Prehistoric Fauna respectively. Some textures and shapes were used by me to fit the style of both mods better. Same goes to palettes and ideas, and I do not own them, or any original content of stated mods.
Prehistoric Delight is a Forge 1.16.5 mod that supports Russian and English languages, it's simple and should work with all other mods very well. Have fun! :D
