For context I have the Betweenlands title screen. May have something to do with that.

I have been having the problem too. Could be caused by modded title screens, as I dont have the between lands but F+A

Seems like a problem with betweenlands. Does it work when prehistoric eclipse is not installed?

This is a problem with the obsidian API, tested it by taking prehistoric eclipse out of my mod folder and running it with the following mods:
LLibrary
ObsidianAPI
Jurassicraft
Fossils and archaeology

It almost seems deliberate as none of the buttons are clickable and the yellow hints at the corner of "Minecraft" on the title screen flash through as if it is a rapid count from 1 to 1000 with each lasting only a fraction of a second. Once I took ObsidianAPI out of the mod folder everything was fine.
