Changing minecraft:stone to dirt does nothing?

Just a simple pack with this blockmap.json:

	"minecraft:stone": "dirt"
}

But nothing is changed. Am I missing something else I should do for it to work?

(PresenceFootsteps-1.10.1 for 1.20.1)
