Using IBE editor, trying to make an mainhand/armor item have the resistance attribute dose nothing and the user still take like all the damage

the resistance shred also is not working as i tried giving a pillager with resistance 4 and trying a stick one with 100+ shread addition vs a one without and the damage is still the same

i suspect something to do with potioncorereborn or first aid because first aid modifies how resistance works I think? and potion core reborn has it's own resistance attribute.

oh yeah I forgot there is also first aid it overhauls the resistance attribute by making the damage localized to each body part
