I understand the mod functions by binding to a player's body part - so it is dependent on that body parts animation. Is there any way to tune how much it follows this, i.e. the intensity of the camera movement?

What exactly do you mean by "intensity"? For example, does 0.5 mean taking the midpoint between the body part and the original camera position?
If it is something like this, it can be done.
