Overview

Realistic Block Physics (RBP) is a Minecraft mod which provides a "realistic" overhaul of the game's building mechanics, introducing a physics system that transforms how structures behave in the game. Each block has been assigned unique physical properties, including:

  • Mass and weight
  • Sliding chance
  • Damage scaling to entities
  • Ability to support other blocks
  • Fragility and strength
  • Ability to remain supported by water and other liquids

Manual Installation

  1. Decide on the Minecraft version you would like to install this mod to. An overview of the supported Minecraft versions of this mod can be seen below.
  2. Download the JAR file of Realistic Block Physics via CurseForge or Modrinth for your selected Minecraft version.
  3. Download and install Minecraft Forge for your selected Minecraft version.
  4. Download the corresponding JAR file of Realistic Physics via CurseForge or Modrinth, which is now a library dependency of this mod for versions released from June 2024 onwards.
  5. Place both the downloaded JARs of Realistic Block Physics and Realistic Physics into your Minecraft .minecraft/mods folder.
