RGB Blocks (Forge)

Combine red, green and blue dye and throw them into a bucket of water to get yourself your very own RGB Paint Bucket. Of course, the recipe is shapeless, so you can put the components however you desire.

The Paint Bucket has 500 uses, after which it will be empty and you will need to refill it.

As you can see, you can use any wood type and any colour in the paint bucket, the colour will directly transfer to your new RGB block!

Of course, the Paint Bucket will not be used up, but some of the colour contained within will be, this is indicated by the durability bar.

Another example - wool:

It works exactly the same, and again, you can RGBify any coloured wool, it will not make a difference.

How to use the Paint Bucket to get any one of 16,777,216 colours:

Sneak + Right-Click (by default) while holding the Paint Bucket and not facing a block to open it's GUI.

Sneak + Right-Click (by default) while holding the Paint Bucket and facing an RGB block to copy it's colour into your Paint Bucket.

This is the Paint Bucket's GUI in RGB Mode. This will be the mode which is selected by default.
The big box on top shows the currently selected colour. In this instance, a nice cranberry.
The three sliders below that are for the Red, Green and Blue values. You can manipulate your colour with these.
The little box below these shows the hexadecimal value of the colour. Our cranberry colour has a hex value of #800080. You can insert and copy hex values from and into this box.
The button on the bottom that reads "Use HSB" switches to HSB mode if you click on it. If you have trouble making sense of the RGB sliders, I recommend using this mode.

This is the Paint Bucket's GUI in HSB Mode. This may look a bit more familiar to some.

The three sliders below that are now for the Hue, Saturation and Brightness values. With these, you can again manipulate your color, maybe a bit more straightforward.
The button on the bottom that reads "Use RGB" will again switch to RGB mode if you click on it.

You can now use the Paint Bucket by right-clicking (by default) on any RGB Block in order to give it the colour you have currently selected in the bucket.

If you want to revert a block to it's original white colour, simply paint it with the paint bucket with a hex value of #ffffff selected. Alternatively, crank all the RGB sliders / the brightness slider in HSB mode to max. (If you want black, use #000000 or put the aforementioned sliders to 0.)

A few more tips on how to work with the RGB colours of these blocks:

When you break an RGB block, it will retain it's colour.
In creative mode, you can duplicate a coloured block, as well as a Paint Bucket, by middle-clicking it (middle click is the default setting for this!) while facing it or in the inventory.

Speaking of inventory, when you hover over an RGB item, including the Paint Bucket, in an inventory, the tooltip will show you it's colour's hex code. In the instance of this reddish wooden plank block, that is #e67373.

Additionally, if you hold shift while hovering over an RGB item in the inventory you will get some more information on the colour values of the item. For example, the purple colour of this glass block consists of 64 red, 0 green, 128 blue. The colour's hue is 270°, the saturation is 100% and the brightness is at 50%.

And that should be basically everything you need to live the dream of 16,777,216 different colours. Have fun painting and building!
