
[Bug] ... Magnets vanish on death

- Minecraft, 1.21.4 Fabric
- Simple Magnets, 1.1.12
Description of the Bug
Make basic or advanced magnet, put in inventory. Die. No magnet picked up when getting back to stuff.
Steps to Reproduce
Make either magnet. Die. No magnet on ground when you get back to death spot.

This seems to work just fine. Both the simple and advanced magnet drop when I have them in my inventory when dying.
There is nothing special about the magnets compared to other items when dying or dropping them, so no idea why they would not drop.
Are you sure it is specific to the magnets and not just some items? Are there any additional requirements to make the issue happen?
Does it happen without any other mods and if not, what other mod would be required for the issue to occur?
Best to my knowledge, the only thing I am currently losing is my magnet... I figured there shouldn't be anything different since it is an item and items should drop. So I will try on a single player world and try to narrow down which mod possibly causes it... I don't have a clue what mod could cause an issue... but will drop them all, add mods in with dependencies until I find the problem
okay soooo I do not know if this is for you.... or for the OTHER mod maker.... But it seems like the mod "Stack Refill by Serilum" is the cause. I have never "watched" on the server when I have died. But during testing, when I die with that mod even though I see both magnets drop on the ground either one of them will get picked up into my hot bar and I will lose it due to having to hit respawn. I always have the magnet in my inventory so as to not to waste a hot bar slot. Just tested with magnets in my inventory, a full hot bar or items and when I died, I picked one of the magnets up upon death and lost it because of the respawn.
Almost seems like this is known there...
Thank you for looking into it! Indeed probably a bug with them then.
Reading that issue report, it would be the first singular item in the inventory. As magnets don't stack and the iteration order starts from the first slot in the inventory rather than the hotbar, I can see how it is likely to be the magnet that is the item which disappears.
