Simple Spears adds the spear - a similar but differing item to the trident. Spears do less melee damage than tridents, but do double the thrown damage.
Spears:
+ can be enchanted with Sharpness (as well as BoA and Smite), Fire Aspect, and Looting. Spears also retain the ability to have Loyalty.
+ deal double the thrown damage of their melee values
+ can be crafted
- cannot be enchanted with channeling, impaling, or riptide
- have lower melee damage than tridents

Spears have each of the 6 vanilla material variants, and I plan to add mod compat if people show interest in the mod.
(V. 0.9 note: please give any criticism about the textures or any issues with stats, enchants working when they shouldn't/not working when they should!)

This mod is for simple people, not looking to add too much but wanting to change up the game's weapons a bit.
