Born from an /r/ftb thread, this is a small 1.9 mod that adds the Slimetector™, which allows you to find slime chunks.
The Slimetector will light up whenever you're in a slime chunk.
Craft with the following recipe:
Here we see it in action, when on a non-slime chunk:
And then on a slime chunk:
