Stuck on "Loading terrain..." screen

Expected Behavior
Join a server
Actual Behavior
Getting stuck on the "Loading terrain..." part of the loading screen indefinitely
Reproduction Steps
It is unclear how this happens but it happens after a big while of playing and there is a low chance of it happening. The only way i've been able to fix it is by deleting the player.dat file from the server for the player to which this issue occurred.

The player appears online on the server and its inventory is available through the InvSee++ mod. yet it is stuck on the "Loading terrain..." part of the loading screen client side. I've been able to join the server after removing sodium and joining with fabric alone
