Bug Description

When using only the Sodium mod chunks near won't load. I only noticed that bug on the server gommehd.net in the BedWars section while playing Bride Training.

Also in the minigame MLG Rush (BedWars section) the world loads for like 3 mins. I think it's the same bug.

My friend also has these two bugs.

Mods: only Sodium (latest Modrinth)

Reproduction Steps

Bridge Training bug:

1. Join the server gommehd.net
2. Right click with compass and click on the bed
3. Turn 90 degrees right
4. Right click on the sign Bridge Training and choose the left block
5. Look behind you (Screenshots)

MLG Rush Bug:

1. Join the server gommehd.net
2. Right click with compass and click on the bed
3. Turn 90 degrees right
4. Right click on the sign MLG Rush and choose 1v1
5. See how long it loads

is this issue going to be fixed in the next update?

We've also found similar issues with hypixel because of how they handle chunks. See #1910

even though your screenshots look just like the issue I linked you're using the latest sodium and the problem is still there. Maybe it's something else causing the same effect?

I have no idea, as i mentioned my friend is having the same issue

I incorrectly confused this issue with another one. Ignore the prior changes to the issue state.
