Clear water not working from vanilla tweaks

Bug Description

Clear water from vanilla tweaks does not work with the latest 1.21.1 version of sodium. It says it may not work and to check the log files. After googling, people said that it was an issue with core shaders. I downloaded a mod that allowed core shaders to work with sodium, but the clear water still did not work.

Reproduction Steps

search up "vanilla tweaks" find "terrain" and click on "clear water" then download and apply with latest 1.21.1 version of sodium.

Core shaders and Sodium are fundamentally incompatible. Core shaders are also not recommended for use by Mojang themselves. There is no way to make them work with sodium.

Some core shaders are rewritten by Sodium and cannot be replaced with a vanilla resourcepack core shader. The compatibility mod you are using doesn't help with this. It only allows resource packs to explicitly support Sodium with custom separate shaders but it doesn't do so automatically. It's neither a bug in Sodium or in the compatibility mod you have used; it is just an unsupported use-case. You will likely need to find a mod that provides this functionality instead, if it exists.

search up "vanilla tweaks" find "terrain" and click on "clear water"

If you want to just disable the water overlay, then I recommend using ScreenFX instead
