Vanilla bug https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-11783. Closely related to #50, and probably caused by #92.

1.19 basically fixes this issue by making eight layers of snow cast shadows more like a full block, so closing this issue unless someone wants to reopen it as to backport this vanilla fix
