-Vampirism-

Vampirism can be caught by being damaged by a Vampire Player or Vampire Illager. Once caught, you will have an effect called "Vampiris" for 20 minutes. This effect does nothing on it's own but if left to complete it's course, you will become a Vampire. Becoming a Vampire cannot be reversed, so make sure to drink milk (or just die and respawn) to cleanse yourself of Vampiris if you do not want to become a Vampire, but if you do, make sure to stay alive and let the effect do it's thing. There is also an admin command which is /vampirism to instant turn yourself into one if you want to cheat or are trying it out in a test world. You can also use /vampirism to remove Vampirism off of yourself if you want to cheat or are done testing.

Once you are a Vampire, you will gain passive buffs and invisibility when sneaking but Vampires have a few extra deaths to worry about... If any Vampire is below 60% of their maximum health, a Wooden Sword will instantly kill them (doesn't even need to be a fully wind up swing). However, killing a Vampire Illager this way will not apply Looting if the effect is on the sword... As a Vampire yourself, be mindful of fellow players who might be hunting your kind as a wooden sword is a very easy way to end your existence. Upon death to a wooden sword, any vampire will spawn a bat... It is purely cosmetic and for fun. Lastly, as a vampire, you will learn that the sun is a deadly laser as a vampire's sun damage is a bit different from the undead... Your weakness to the sun's harmful rays will always hurt you. Sure, you can use fire resistance to protect yourself against fire as the sun will burn you but it will not protect you from the sun's direct damage itself... This sun damage ignores armor completely as well, thus it will always do a base damage of 2 per sun-tick it does. Wearing something on your head does protect you from this.

You will also be unable to eat normal food and have to rely on blood. Unlike normal hunger though, you don't lose blood points while passively healing or sprinting, but you still need high blood for the passive healing like you would normally with hunger. You can gather blood into a bottle by holding an empty glass bottle in your off-hand while attacking animals, villagers, and even players. Another method of obtaining blood is directly using the new Leeching enchantment which is only obtainable from Vampire Illagers. Leeching isn't as effective as gathering bottles of blood, but works on more targets and has a lower cooldown.

All vampires do drop vampire dust which can be used to make strong invisibility potions. Though player vampires will only drop vampire dust if slain by another player.

-Ghosts & Possession-

There are two known types of ghosts currently:
1. Ecto Ghosts, which are shaded green, can be found naturally in swamps it seems and are very aggressive. Their phasing attacks seems to be able bypass even the toughest of armor, dealing magical damage equal to the world's own difficulty. However, these stronger and more aggressive spirits can potentially drop their ectoplasm which is a good resource of magical power. If one were to extract the power by hand, they could get a single bottle of enchanting from it though using a brewing station is much preferred to more expertly extract the enchanting power from the ectoplasm. After doing so, it will just leave it's ball of slime behind for crafting use.

2. 'Spooky' Ghosts, which are shaded blue, seems to be only found at Graveyards, specifically because of grave soil. While the soil itself can also spawn Ecto Ghosts, it seems more open to spawning these much weaker blue ghosts whom aren't as aggressive or directly dangerous but does use their limited power to possess and kill a living entity nearby. They will even attempt to possess the player but will fail to do anything other than causing blindness, weakness, and leaving behind a glowing effect from their attempt. If they attempt a living animal, they usually levitate it up high into the sky, burning it's flesh as it do so but it's main target is always armor... Any full set of armor on an stand will be a prime candidate for possession and a much bigger threat overall.

-Possessed Armor: When a Spooky Ghost has possess a set of armor, it will be using an exact copy of the armor that was on the armor stand and the stand itself will be left empty. Possessed Armor will drop this copy upon death and cannot despawn naturally, so nothing can be lost if a suit of armor has been possessed. Possessed Armor will always have an iron sword and shield, but doesn't uses the shield.

-Merfolk-

The Merfolk are strange sea creatures with a nautilus growth on their skin who uses tridents are their main weapon of choice... Once thrown, they will swap to using their bare claws instead but they always eventually get their trident back after a minute to throw once again... These deep sea creatures seems to be cursed pirates from long ago, and thus has became very aggressive in their time being cursed beings, attacking any player or Drowned at sight, raiding the sunken ruins and boats all across the ocean. It does seems like whatever has cursed them to be like this is found within the enchanted gems which can be seen glowing from their chest... These gems are usually broken into dust upon slaying one but there's a small chance that the curse magic will safely be removed upon death, leaving the gem fully intact for looting.
