This Mod adds Dynamax Dens to your world, a relatively common structure which allows you to summon a variety of strong Pokémon to either defeat or catch. The Concept of Dynamax Dens is heavily inspired by Pokémon Dens, introduced in the Games Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield and tries to replicate them for Pixelmon Reforged as good as possible
This Mod is currently fully functionable and compatible with Versions 8.1.2 and 8.2.0 for Pixelmon Reforged. If you find any Bugs, Glitches or similar things that seem wrong, make sure to report them in the new "Issues"-Tab at the top.
Upon loading up the Mod for the first time, alongside Pixelmon Reforged of course -using this Mod without using Pixelmon defeats the point of it -, you will start finding Dynamax Dens all around your world. They generate in pretty much all biomes, reaching from Plains, Mountains, Mesas and Forests all the way to the Ocean Floor. This is compatible with most Mods that change the World Generation, for example Biomes O' Plenty, but they will only generate on common Vanilla Terrain Blocks, those being Stone, Dirt, Grass, Sand, Terracotta, Gravel. etc.
To activate a Dynamax Den you will have to give it a Wishing Piece and confirm it. Wishing Pieces are obtained by mining Wishing Piece Ore, which can be mined with a Stone Pickaxe or better. It's not super common, but it should be relatively easy to spot once you come across it, as it emits a bit of light and looks very different to other Vanilla or Pixelmon Ores. Every Ore drops one Wishing Piece normally, this can be increased using the Fortune Enchantment.
Once you have your Wishing Pieces and found a Dynamax Den you can toss them in there to activate the Den. There is a 90% Chance for a Red Beam and a 10% Chance for a Purple Beam. Red Beams spawn Boss Pokémon, Purple Beams very strong catchable Pokémon like fully evolved Starters, Pseudo-Legendaries, Ultra Beasts or Pokémon capable of Gigantamaxing. Different Gigantamax Forms spawn from Dens in different biomes, at different times of the day and under different weather conditions, luckily there is an in-game guidebook called Wild Area News that will list all spawn chances from Dynamax Dens and also features the Spawn Conditions for all G-Max Pokémon.
All Pokémon spawned from a Den that can be caught have a high chance of having good IVs and have increased odds of being Shiny. Only G-Max Pokémon also have increased chances of having their Hidden Ability, but all G-Max Pokémon are unable to breed and pass down the Hidden Ability.
Since Version 1.4.0 the Spawns from Purple Beams can be customized using the command /twa_config or the Dynamax Wand, allowing you to modify the Spawn Tables to whatever you wish to. This supports custom textures and forms, there is an example on the Syntax built into Spawn Table A.
Some Pokémon that spawn might not even have their G-Max Form implemented into the Game yet, but they will still spawn as G-Max, for example Cinderace and Rillaboom. The Pokémon that will spawn in this case already have the G-Max Factor, which means that they will automatically turn to their G-Max Variant and are usable as this upon the next Update to Pixelmon Reforged.
This Mod works both on Singleplayer and Multiplayer, so feel free to host it on a small private server together with your friends. To use the mod, it needs to be installed both client-side and server-side and Dynamax Dens will only generate in new chunks if you and your friends already played on the same world.
This Mod is 100% safe to use and does not collect any information from your PC. Using it alongside Pixelmon Reforged does not increase your chances of being hacked or allow me to see who you are... I simply enjoy playing Pixelmon and thought Dynamax Dens would be a great addition to the game!
Please ask before adding this Mod to a public Modpack (as i said, private with your friends is okay, I am talking about open modpacks published across the internet). At the point of release I will not allow The Wild Area getting added, but once the Modpack this Mod was originally created for - PixelPack Jade - Evolution - has been released, I will most likely allow you to add it anywhere you want, given that it stays free-to-use, the Mod Files stay unmodified and there is some form of credit to the original creator.
If you are unhappy with some of the default textures and want to change them to look just like you want, download this default Resource Pack. All you'll have to do is extract/unzip it, edit the textures/item names, turn it back into a zip and you are done. Download here
