An option in a render layer file to disable if it can be seen in first person and an option to stop it from being seen in third person ( this would only show the model in first person )

Added, simple use "first_person_conditions" and "third_person_conditions" in the render layer.
You can also just disable it completely by doing

"first_person_conditions": false
