I'm a huge fan of the mod, a lot of it should be vanilla, however the placement of torches on the top side of blocks seems very out of place (so to speak); it's somewhat unintuitive (in the sense that it's not expected and in most cases one may not be trying to place it on the upper half of a block), and can make placing torches on walls in a straight line quite frustrating.
I understand that there's an option to control this, the suggestion here is to make that the default behaviour, so that the default experience with this mod is more in line with the vanilla game.
