Warriors of Past Epoch - mod that adds themed armor sets with their own characteristics and fighting style, also adding new mobs and structures in relevant topics. The mod aims to provide variety in the choice of equipment and gameplay style in the mid-game. In addition to armor and weapons, the mod also adds various items related to a particular theme, complementing armor sets. All armor and weapons are created from new items and resources obtained in the mod.
It is recommended to use the mod together with Better Combat, which gives the weapon more features due to different types of attacks.
Mod created using MCreator.
Mod requires GeckoLib to work.
The mod adds many new resources and items necessary to create new weapons and armor, which you can find in the world or make from existing ones. The sets of armor and weapons themselves have their own characteristics and style of play. You get the greatest benefit from equipment when using a complete set from one category, but no one is stopping you from combining them however you want.
Forgotten Steel
A new type of ore that you can find in caves. It is generated at great depth at levels from 10 to -64 blocks. Requires at least an iron pickaxe to mine. Used in most crafting of new items.
Cistus
A new plant that you can meet in the world. It grows in plains, meadows and forests. Can be grown using bone meal. It is the main component in the creation of anti-plague serum.
Batwing
Vanilla bats will now drop one to two Batwings. This item can be eaten, but it will apply Morbidity to you. You can also make Bat Soup from it, which has good satiety, but also imposes Morbidity on you. But the more important use of this ingredient is in the creation of Morbidity Concentrate.
Moldy Cheese
Can be found in new structures from the mod as loot. You can eat it, or you can use it to tame a scavenger rat (and the rat itself follows the cheese much faster). You can also make a Stale Cheese Sandwich from it.
When you eat a sandwich, you will receive the Aura effect: Rat Power for 3 minutes. Under the influence of this effect, you will increase the strength, durability, and speed of all tamed rats around you.
Musketeer Armor
Light equipment for those who prefer to combine ranged and melee combat. Armor is made using Thickened Skin, Azure Fabric and Forgotten Metal. The level of protection is comparable to iron armor.
When wearing a full set of armor you receive the following bonuses:
- Significantly reduces Musket reload time (from 5 seconds to 1,75 seconds)
- Significantly reduces Pistol reload time (from 3,5 seconds to 1 seconds)
- Increases the power of the Musketeer Rapier's piercing strike (increases bonus damage, knockback power and target slow duration)
- Bayonet Knife causes a bleeding effect on the attacked target
Bayonet Knife
A melee weapon with low damage and high attack speed. When wearing a full set of Musketeer armor, it also applies a bleeding effect to the attacked target.
While under the effect of the Bleeding effect, the target will receive damage over time every 5 seconds. Damage equal to effect level.
Musketeer Rapier
A melee weapon with good attack speed and average damage. When performing a continuous successful series of three strikes with this weapon, the third strike is guaranteed to be a Piercing.
A Piercing Strike at the moment of impact gives you strength, increasing the damage inflicted at this moment, also pushing away the enemy you hit, slowing him down slightly, at this moment you will receive a short increase in speed that will allow you to get closer again or move away back. When wearing a full set of Musketeer armor, it increases bonus damage, knockback power, as well as the duration of the slowdown and speed increase.
Musket
A powerful long-range weapon with a long reload time. Requires Musket Ammo to fire. After firing, it requires a long reload of up to 5 seconds, but when wearing a full set of Musketeer armor, it reduces the reload to 1.75 seconds. Takes up two hand slots if you play with the Better Combat mod.
Pistol
In many ways it is similar to a musket, but has less damage and projectile range, but also has a faster reload (3.5 seconds without a full set of Musketeer armor and 1 second with a full set of Musketeer armor). Requires Musket Ammo to fire.
Ammo Bag
Allows you to carry a large number of Musket Ammo, but you must remove the ammo from the bag to your inventory before firing.
Plague Doctor Armor Set
A light armor set for those who want to use plague as a weapon. Make your enemies suffer from a variety of diseases and periodic damage. To make armor you need Sterile Tissue, Thickened Skin, Forgotten Steel and also Cistus. Protection comparable to iron armor.
When wearing a full set of armor you will receive the following bonuses:
- Grants immunity to poisoning and all effects of disease and plague
- Significantly increases the duration of the effects of Plague Serums (from 3 minutes to 30 minutes)
- Increases the strength and duration of Bleeding from Surgical Saw attacks
- Enemies killed with the Surgical Saw will drop Crystal Blood (the higher the mob’s maximum health, the more crystal blood it will drop)
- Increases your movement speed while holding the Doctor's Cane
