What is Worldgen Visualizer?
This mod allows users to change the numerous worldgen settings involved in creating a world, while still inside it!
This allows you to try out different noise and block settings and see the results instantly, instead of having to restart the whole game.

What would I use it for?
Worldgen Visualizer is not a mod suitable for survival gameplay.
On its own, the mod disables world saving, meaning changes made to the world when this mod is installed will disappear on restart.
The mod is designed to be used by mod developers and datapack makers (and people who just like messing with things), to see the effects of changing the various world generation values, and how they interact with the world at large.
Want to make a new world but aren't sure what settings you need? This mod can help!
How do I use it?
- 1. Install the mod and create a new world from the ingame menu.
- 2. Set the World Type as the Worldgen Visualizer type.
- 3. Open the settings menu via the keybind (defaults to `).
- 4. Go into the submenus via the available buttons and change the settings you desire.
- 5. Return to the main menu via the back button in the top left.
- 6. Click Apply.
NOTE:
This mod does not hold your hand. There are things you can change via the settings that will fail to work for any number of reasons.
I will continue to try to improve the functionality as best I can, but there will always be limitations to what you can do.
FAQ:
When I change a setting, it says "Invalid worldgen data provided" - What gives?
If the mod detects that an invalid combination of settings has been entered and applied, it will attempt to catch the error and use the last known good configuration. This is to prevent game crashes from invalid or incompatible settings. You may have entered something incorrectly, or edited a setting that does not support editing currently.
Does it support multiplayer?
It should. I make no guarantees of the full functionality of multiplayer usage, but I will try my best to make it work.
Does it support mods/datapacks?
To an extent. Currently in its alpha release state the mod is fairly feature-limited. It should in theory support modded/datapack features and types, but I make no guarantees for any specific compatibilities. I hope to improve overall compatibility over time.
Some settings won't save successfully no matter what I do!
The mod tries its best to give all available options to the player, but it does not guarantee that any of the settings are viable for changing. Some will just outright not work, as the game requires other data types to be provided alongside a given change that the mod isn't prepared for or aware of. This is a fundamental limitation to what I am able to do, unfortunately.
