Create Arcane Engineering was originally meant to be a sequel to Create: Above and Beyond, but it has since evolved far beyond being just that.
Featuring Create 5.1!
-The TL;DR to begin with-
The Modpacks Goal: Conquering the Arcane. (yes, very vague, but itll come clear once you automate all the chapters in the modpack)
The Amount of automation Chapters: Fourteen. (Counting Extra Chapters)
How Magic is integrated: There are two main "lines" of chapters, a magic a tech line. You can automate most of them independently, but finishing the pack requires the completion of both. The main lines consist of chapters each, followed by 2 general chapters to finish the pack.
How much RAM you need: We recommend you to use 8gb for the best experience. 4gb works just fine if you plan to only play on servers, but leads to lag spikes and can cause crashes on singleplayer.
Why you should I play this pack: We put in a lot of effort to make it turn out great. We looked at most mods in the pack and tried to integrate them as best as we could, even adding our own unique mechanics for some.
How finished is this pack? - We have fully play tested the first portion of the pack and are happy with how it turned out, but we still expect there to be some initial bugs. There is currently still a semi-rare crash on startup that should be fixed very soon, if you happen to run into it you can just start your game again and it shouldn't reoccur.

-Section for literate people-
Create: Arcane Engineering is a fan modpack inspired by Create: Above and Beyond by Simibubi.
With both magical and technical automation challenges, you are tasked with conquering the Arcane to reach the end goal of the modpack:
You will be building many intricate factories all around your minecraft world and connecting them through the new create trains!
This pack aims to build upon the flow of Create: Above and Beyond, adding many structures and changing tons of recipes to create a coherent experience while empathizing the usage of the Create mod and its new features.
You start out just like you would in any other pack, and slowly get absorbed by the custom progression and its unusual recipes and automation ideas that connect mods such as Create, Forbbiden & Arcanus, Ars Nouveau, Pneumaticcraft and the Thermal mods.
The packs fun resource and machine gating systems will encourage you to explore your world, searching for locational resources and perhaps a few chests to help you gear up and get you started on your journey.
The pack is centered around both magic and tech, requiring you to build numerous efficient factories to reach mastery in both.
Permission to mimic Above and Beyond was granted by Simibubi.
Mystery awaits you.
Epic Backstory:
When Create 5.0 Full Steam was released, PigTurtle and I eagerly searched for Create Mod packs featuring the newly introduced trains. To our surprise, none existed. So, we decided to create our own.
Embarking on the development journey for a 1.18 Create Modpack, we initially aimed to be the first, but ended up being the last. After a year of dedicated work, we're finally ready to share our creation. But why did it take so long? Several factors contributed to this:
Firstly, we set exceptionally high standards, resulting in countless revisions and complete chapter overhauls to perfect the player experience.
The early chapters paid homage to Create Above and Beyond in style at first, but as we progressed, we realized our approach was impractical. We still stuck with it, making each subsequent chapter more technically challenging and intricate:
For instance, the first magic chapter had simple recipes, the second incorporated some peculiar fluid logistics, and Chapter M3 pushed us to the limits of KubeJS capabilities, integrating other mods' mechanics into intriguing looping dynamics. Chapter M4 became a turning point, compelling me to delve into Forge and advanced KubeJS scripting, creating enigmatic mechanics from scratch.
Theres more chapters after, but the effort is not explainable in words. As we went on to later chapters everything escalated beyond imagination, even leading me to invest in Builders for support.
Starting this journey, I knew nothing about minecraft modding. I ended up learning modeling, pixelart basics, kubejs, javascript, java, and Forge to create my own mods.
I also had to mess around with data packs all around world generation, lootables and learnt how to make Multiblocks.
I'm not trying to brag, just trying to put into perspective on how much effort this took, countless headaches.
But this effort wasn't nearly just mine. Far from it, there have luckily been lots contributors, so I'll likely miss some.
Send me a Discord DM if I forgot you here, lol.
