What is this pack?

Fabric Skies is a Minecraft Fabric kitchen sink modpack based around the world generation mod, Skychunk. Thanks to it, 98% of the world is replaced with air, making it possible to see ores in distant chunks. But, you have to actually GO to those chunks to get the ore! Because of the odd world, mob spawns are compressed into single chunks, meaning you have to prepare for intense combat. The void is ever present, and many have flown to their doom...

The chunks laid bare, and exposed... ripe for excavation! If only you could get there...

Fabric Skies also comes with EarlyGame, which adds flint tools required to get wood.

Tools and some armor.

To help you get around in this weird, weird world, Simple Planes is included. Craft your plane, and hang on!

Some standard tech and magic mods are included. I am taking suggestions on which mods to include!

FAQ

How do I get shaders on this pack?
Currently, there is no shader support for Fabric Skies due to Sodium.

How do I get flint if there's no gravel at the surface?
There's a few ways!

  1. Rocks are placeable and waterloggable, so if you see water on your chunk, try and place a rock from the ground at the edge of the water! The water will flow down, allowing you to find gravel on the side of your chunk.
  2. Dirt has a small chance of dropping flint as well, so digging it may be your ticket to EarlyGame tools if you don't have gravel in your chunk at all.

I can't find plant fiber in Taiga biomes!

Sadly, EarlyGame is bugged in this regard, and double tallgrass doesn't yield plant fiber yet. But, you can dig one dirt underneath you, or find grass blocks elevated just above you and crouch repeatedly to spawn regular tallgrass instead to cut for plant fiber.
How do I get planks?

Shift + right click the top face of a log block with a vanilla or EarlyGame copper axe, and it will drop planks! (Currently, modded, wood and stone axes are broken, and will be addressed.)
