What is Frostfall? Simply put Frostfall is a Rebirth Of The Night expansion modpack that is dedicated to a hardcore survival experience where the player (or players) are stranded in a world stuck in an eternal ice age. The weather is frigid, food is already scarce and farming in the frozen tundra is near impossible. While there are seasons / times of the year where food can be more easily grown than others, you are highly encouraged to build up a stockpile before the Heavy Winter sets in and nothing can grow. On top of this you are constantly being hunted by other animals and creatures who are also trying to desperately stay alive in this world and get their next meal. You will be building a base in a world that is constantly being filled with snow. Layer by layer the snow will pile up until the landscape you thought you knew has turned to something all but recognizable. Will you live in a cave? Build a cabin? What will be your source of food and perhaps most importantly... warmth?
Flagship Mods
The primary mods in this pack that make it what it is. These mods are incorporated to help you or make you suffer.
- Biomes Of Plenty : This is here to provide a natural flow to the landscape and incorporate some other sense of survival. This also adds a depth of difficulty as certain ores are only found in certain regions. This means you will have to travel to find the materials you need. No more strip mining.
- Eternal Winter & Snow Real Magic : What is an ice age without snow? These combined mods will make it snow anywhere, all the time, every day and pile that snow up. It's gonna get cold.
- Better With Mods : BWM has always been a wonderful companion and that stays true to this modpack. BWM will be here to help you survive the brutal frozen wastes.
- ToroQuest : Why stay alone? Work together! ToroQuest is included as an alternative way to survive in the world. Help these suffering villages stuck trying to build in the snow. In return you will gain access to trading, unique weapons and who knows, maybe even a home!
- Various Mob Mods : There are ton of different mob mods in this pack. Some will add in dragons, vanilla mob variation, bosses and more. There is also the Bloodmoon mod set to go off every Full Moon to really bring the the pain when you thought you were safe AND there are invasions every nine days. To compensate for this day lengths are extended to help you gather what you need and provide some minor sense of security. (It won't last)
- Tough As Nails : Do I need to explain? Temperature management. Survival is in your hands.

Recommended / Required Mods
REQUIRED - Optifine 1.12.2 : There is a set of config files in here set up for the ideal Optifine setup. This will add in heavy fog, unique shaders and allow a layer of detail that only further enhances your playthrough. Recommended shader pack is Chocapic with an atmospheric density set to 2.0.

Server / System Requirements
This modpack does use a-lot of AI processes but overall should be fine running on a 4-6 GB server. I would also recommend all clients to run this at 4GB.
