Welcome.... to Horror Island.
Horror Island is a Minecraft 1.12.2 Modpack that focuses on creating a terrifying gameplay experience. It utilizes many horror themed mods to add tons of ghoulish enemies to the game such as: parasites, ghosts, phantoms, mutants, weeping angles & much more. Many of these creatures are deadly, so be warned - although things may appear safe, they aren't. You're always being watched, and whatever you do - don't venture out into the darkness.
With Horror Island, I wanted to maintain the Minecraft look and feel, as such - none of the mods included here radically change the look or feel of vanilla Minecraft. If you know how to play vanilla Minecraft, and this is your first modpack - you should be okay. The premise here is still the same - find food, build a house, survive. Many of the mods include secondary objects, but they are by no means necessary. Though, many of them lead to extremely useful and powerful tools and weapons.
Lastly, the modpack includes the "Blood moon" mod. If you are playing and a blood moon begins to rise... get inside, lock the door and hide deep underground. You will not survive...
Note: Horror Island can be played without and island. It works fine with normal Minecraft map generation.
