Goals
Our goal is to create a server that has something for everyone: all in one, smoothly flowing world. If you like PvP, we’ve got you covered. PvE? Plenty of places for that. Are you a pacifist who wants to enjoy a more social and peaceful aspect of Minecraft life? There’s plenty of places for that too! And again, it’s all on one map, in one world: on PolisCraft’s fictional continent of Hexalia.
Background
POLISCRAFT has been developed by a small team of long-time Minecraft players looking to create the ultimate Modded Minecraft Server (MMS). We’ve compiled our expertise from playing on servers for years, developing servers in the past, and playing a wide variety of different games. With this, our ideas have been growing for years, and we’ve brought them to life with PolisCraft.
We are now looking to release PolisCraft to the public for the first time with PolisCraft BETA.
The Map
Aside from a few inspiring assets, the PolisCraft’s map has been built from the ground up, starting from generating the world, to filling it with life-like cities, villages, roads, ruins, secrets scattered across the world, and much, much more. As a matter of fact, the oldest city on the server, Metta, was begun in 2018 on a towny server, built in large part by lead builder and co-owner Aleksander.
We’ve designed the map to have five unique zones to accommodate different playstyles:
The Five Cities
Where pre-built player housing is available, most of the world’s shops and jobs are found, and the most social areas are located. Each city also has 1-2 unique minigames, ranging from Spleef to Hockey, a Casino to a functioning Arcade… and it all takes place in the same smoothly flowing world. You remain immersed for the entire experience!
The Wild West
where players can enjoy a factions-inspired wild area, with the exception of the safe zone and shop area “Theitown”, and partake in PvP, building, exploring, and anything players wish!
The Wasteland
The main PvE area that holds the ruins of the old world, including the decimated city referred to as “District 6”. There are also two outposts that serve as safe zones, radiation decontamination stations, shops, and in the future, will be home for players who wish to purchase plots within the walls of the outposts. Explorers can find many secrets, some which have rather lucrative rewards, hidden in the darkest crevices of the wasteland.
Players can also loot “loot crates” scattered across this area.
Every Man’s Land (The Northern Territory)
The main PvP zone which houses more lush ruins, such as the prison, army base, and shipwreck. There is more loot to be found out there.
The Darklands
One of the most dangerous PvE areas in Hexalia (PolisCraft’s fictional continent), the Darklands is a place where strange creatures lurk. This is also the site of PolisCraft’s own “Dungeon Crawl” and of the only two places where players can enchant their gear.
The World/Lore
The World of PolisCraft is designed for all types of players: those who want PvP, PvE, no combat, socializing, a story, opportunities to make money, to lead their friends and the people of our community through the hard times and the good of survival, and so many others.
We’ve created a world in which, in an alternate, fictional setting, a nuclear war has changed life as people knew it. On the former colonial continent of Hexalia, people have rebuilt civilization on the ruins of the old cities. Others continue to live in the destroyed regions, thriving on the chaos of the irradiated wasteland and highly contested Every Man’s Land. Others, who appear to be outcasts, practice strange ways of life in the darklands…
Across Hexalia, secrets can be found and the story of the End of the World can be pieced together by finding lore-based artifacts in one-time-loot hidden chests.
What’s the Story With the Story?
PolisCraft’s dynamic story comes from both TJ and Aleksander’s storytelling in the form of missions, quests, and lore scattered throughout the world. As the server grows, the story is planned to grow and develop with each update/patch.
