Simple Voice Chat - Fabric Preloaded Instance

Simple Voice Chat - Fabric Preloaded Instance

1k Downloads

Welcome to Simple Voice Chat - Fabric Preloaded instance. This modpack is aimed towards the non-technical userbase, allowing people with little technical knowledge to use a few key mods. The mods included are as follows:

Simple Voice Chat - Credit for this one goes to Henkelmax and Strideyyy

Sodium/Lithium/Krypton/Phosphor - Credit goes to MrMangoHands as he is known on Github

These mods will do a few things. The mods by MrMangoHands are FPS boosters, and Simple Voice Chat is, a simple voice chat. It allows you to talk to others simply by being near them in a Minecraft world, and you can even set up a group that allows you and other people in said group to talk while being hundreds or even thousands of blocks away.

These mods will allow the general userbase who may not have access to a very powerful machine to use Minecraft. Along with that, there are several instances of the modpack built for specific servers, which should resolve a lot of the 'incorrect version' errors. Please contact me if you would like a pack hosted for your specific server, and I will help you with set up on the server, and set up the modpack here for your use.

Made for version 1.16.5 - 1.8.8 of Simple Voice Chat.

Installation Instructions:

Use the Curseforge app if you are on Windows or Mac. If you are on Linux, or you do not want to use the Curseforge launcher, then there are some alternative instructions below.

The following instructions should work on any operating system, but the process is not as streamlined as using the official Curseforge Launcher

First of all, install Java. You will usually use version 8, since that is the most compatible. For MC versions past 1.17, you may opt to use java 11. Installation instructions for Java 8 can be found for the respective operating systems here:

Microsoft Windows

Linuxfor *Note that Linux users should reboot their computer after a kernel update, or MultiMC may refuse to load.

OS X (Mac)

Next, download MultiMC. Download instructions for that can be found here: MultiMC | Download

When you first open MultiMC after installing, it may bring up a window asking you to select your Java version. Java 11 may be displayed as Java 11.0.11 or similar. Select your respective java version*. Next, download your respective pack instance. A list for specific requests will be down below (i.e. if you  ask me to set you up with a pack, the download link and server name will be listed in a table below. See example). Once you have the .zip downloaded, Do not unzip it. You can do that if you like, but it's a waste of space. Finally, go to MultiMC and click Add Instance. Select import from zip, and click browse. Select the .zip file you just downloaded, then hit ok. One more step before launch. By default, multiMC will give you a message saying "fabric loader unknown" or something similar. Right click on the instance, and hit 'edit instance'. Make sure you are on the 'version' tab, and then click 'install fabric' on the right. select the instance, and then click launch. For your first time, it may ask you to sign in to your MC account, and will prompt you on how to do so. Follow the prompt and launch the instance again.

Try to join the server you want to use Voice Chat on. If it gives you an error when you try to join, you most likely selected the wrong version of the pack, or the server side has been updated. Contact the server administrator for further assistance. If the pack here on curseforge is broken, feel free to let me know.

Happy Voice Chatting!

*Java 11 should be used for optimal compatibility. Simple Voice Chat is known to have issues with Java 8 or earlier.
