Important:
This pack uses Function and Command Blocks. Due to the way vanilla function files are local to each map. Make sure you start a new world from template, or copy the function files over to your save when updating the pack. Ask me in discord if you need more specific advice.
Life began simply enough, you punched trees, built shelter and hid from monsters. Soon enough your strength and skill grew and you no longer feared the creatures of the night. Brutal monsters, dimensions of heat and death, even the mighty End with its vicious dragon, nothing could stand in your way!
Until you became bored. Cursed to wander the worlds of Minecraftia without fear, doing the same things over and over. Lack of a unique challenge perpetuating your mind to grow ever restless yearning for something truly special. World after world filled with technology, magic, cheap thrills, and fleeting achievements.
And there it was. A curious world, a limited world. A world that fought back! Was this it? Was this the world that would free you from your curse?
In a world where the ground literally tries to take your life, you have only two things. The wings that have grown out of your back, and rockets, to boost you through the air. You stand atop a pillar of bedrock, and beneath you is land and an ocean, with a pirate ship and some sort of monument beneath the calm waters. As you begin to ready yourself to fly down to the ground, you hear a voice, speaking in your mind.. Beware the miasma! You must prove yourself to me if you wish to survive and explore the depths of this land. Prove to me you are strong! Prove to me you have what it takes to challenge this world! As you offer tribute I will allow you to delve deeper, to seek out those resources you desire. But do not waste your time! Be sure to eat plenty of food, and be prepared for pain. You are only safe above the clouds, though if you must restore your strength, you may soar high into the sky and be blessed.
Stunned, you try to process what just happened. Beware the miasma? Eat food? Offer tribute? fly high to restore strength? What does it all mean?
This pack is in no way a typical one. With a limited, set world, you have to learn to make due with what you can get. Don't think you will get a quarry of any sort up and running any time soon. Food is very important, and you will learn that now, or once you die a few times. Don't be wasteful of valuable resources either. This pack has been handcrafted to truly challenge you, and to provide an amazing and rewarding experience. There are changes hidden all over in JEI, and you will be amazed at what can be done. Just check out how to get bedrock! And before anyone complains about Draconic Evolution being in the pack, well.. Let's just say that it has been balanced very well. The nether is disabled, and the world is 2000x2000 blocks centered on spawn, but don't let that scare you away! You will become very familiar with the land, and you will come to know the world very well. You will become well acquainted with many negative status effects, and will truly understand what it is to feel the fear you felt the first time you heard zombies in the night.
Every problem has multiple solutions, players are not pigeonholed into having to follow a set path for most things. Be creative, have fun and try to let yourself enjoy the challenge. Learn new unfamiliar systems and mechanics, mostly made with just vanilla minecraft, However, be aware that many things you are familiar with have changed. Sky Resources for example has been twisted around and gutted a few times, and has really been altered. If you knew it in another pack, you will certainly barely recognize it.
A route to get your first dirt without going to the ground:
- Place your wings or fireworks in the crafting grid to get a cloud.
- 2 clouds make a snow layer. 4 clouds make an angel block.
- Place snow layers on a surface, then shift right click with an empty hand to remove snowballs.
- craft snowballs into snow blocks
- craft a freezer with 2 snow blocks.
- use freezer and 16 snowballs to get 4 heavy snowballs.
- craft heavy snow with 4 snowballs.
- use freezer on heavy snow to get Aerogel.
- place Aerogel into the world when the sun is out and wait.
- after some time the Aerogel will turn into clay. wait too long and it will turn into hardened clay.
- place cloud in freezer to get a Frozen cloud of Vaulting.
- craft 2 Frozen clouds with 2 clay to get Aether dirt
- place Aether dirt into the world when the sun is out and wait for it to turn into course dirt.
- use freezer on Frozen clouds to make ice.
- place ice next to course dirt and break the ice to make water.
- over time the course dirt next to the water will grow grass.
- tall grass will grow in the rain. break grass to get seeds and food.
Tribute Experience:
Tribute Quests are found in the tribute section of the quest book.
When accepted these quests will add "Offering Time" to the scoreboard.
Every 10 seconds of "Offering Time" you will gain 10% of your offering time as experience.
Each level gained will push back the barrier covering the world allowing you to mine deeper.
If you have bad nutrition or toxins your experience will drain.
If you die, you will lose all remaining "Offering Time" and all your experience.
Experience can be saved using the deposit quest in tributes.
Nutrition and Hunger:
There are five food groups, sugars, fiber, fats, protein, and carbohydrates. Each food gives a different amount of these nutrients and its is your job to balance your diet.
you gain 2 life if you keep a nutrient between 25% and 75%.
As you move you will slowly lose hunger and nutrition. However if you stand still you wont lose any.
Every time you use a rocket, or regrow your wings you lose hunger. These hunger losses only effect you down to 2 shanks.
Quest Points and Callings:
The Callings tab of the quest book is an item shop where you can sell all the edible foods in the game.
These foods are broken into Tiers (displayed on the foods name) and each quest will accept any food type inside the tier.
each level of quest requires an equal amount of quest points however, so a level 1 quest requires 1 quest point. a level 4 requires 4 quest points ect.
When you first accept being "Skytouched" your maximum number of quest points you can gain is set to 1.
Every 5 minutes of activity (move at least once every 20 seconds) you will gain 1 quest point.
Every Callings quest you complete will give you experience towards the next maximum quest point.
(complete 9 level 1 quests and your maximum quest points goes up to 2)
There is no maximum level.
The Miasma:
The poison covering the world is broken into layers.
y level 0-35 afflicts you with wither 2 status when touching the ground.
y level 35-120 afflicts you with wither 1 status when touching the ground. Regen prevents this.
There is a barrier at sea level (y level 65) that pushes you back.
This is based on your Tribute Level.
As you level up the barrier gets pushed back (5 blocks per 2 levels)
Bedrock can be moved
If you get to y level -1 (the void) then you will be teleported to the top of the end dimension
If you get to y level -1 in the end, You will be teleported back to the overworld.
Hints and Notes:
- Elytra and Infinite fireworks to fly forever.
- Touch the ground below y level 120 will cause you to take wither damage.
- Anywhere above y level 260 will give you instant healing.
- Since its a full world, mob spawners in the sky are less efficient and unreliable. You will have to hunt, or be inovative.
- You do not lose items on death.
- There is no fall damage or Elytra collision damage.
- Hold an atlas or a compass for a mini-map.
- The World is 2000 x 2000 blocks to keep things local and contained. This is an artistic choice I made and I am happy about it.
- Erosion is a thing in the world. Place a block and conditions may turn it into another block. Clay softens underwater, Stone turns to gravel that sorta thing.
- you start with 10 health and you gain more when you eat unique food.
- There is 180 life to be gained from eating food (1000 unique foods)
- 10 Life can be gained from keeping balanced nutrition levels.
- you can wear chest armor over your wings, but this prevents you from flying. when you take off the chest armor your wings instantly come back however, this is designed this way to feel like they are actually part of your body instead of just a piece of equipment.
- you cannot chop down wood by hand. A tool is required, a cutting knife can be made with stone shards crafted from dirt.
- tall grass will grow in the rain. and grass will spread onto course dirt when its next to other grass or water.
- Using freezers as early game storage seams like the right thing to do, but keep in mind if you hold an item in your hand and press the "V" key you will place it on the block, so no storage containers are required.
- Some of the most fun I have had was going to the surface to get resources. Try to remember there are multiple ways to get everything.
- Outposts can later be made with botania regen items. Incense, and the Fallen Kanade.
Server Files:
No changes to mods for servers are necessary. place config, mods, and scripts into your server folder. Remember to copy the template into the server folder and rename it world.

Known Bugs:
- if you try to craft some recipes with multiple items on a server it will seam like your item supply will duplicate when it really will not. I am unsure what is causing this issue but i think it has to do with crafting tweaker because it only affects the recipes i changed. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know in the comments.
Ver 1.1.0 Calling Quest Bug
A game breaking bug found its way into the single player callings quests in 1.1.0
This Bug does not seam to affect servers but will crash the client after completing any of the callings quests. Unfortunately this seams to also corrupt the quest data and crash the client on future openings of the quest book.
To fix this bug download Qpoints.mcfunction
http://www.mediafire.com/file/s7z8v4cad81f3oi/Qpoints.mcfunction
Overwrite this file in "saves/<world name>/data/functions/skyblock/qpoints.mcfunction" with the one from media fire.
If you have already experienced this bug, you will also need to run the command "/bq_admin default load" This will reset your quest data
Then you need to do "/bq_admin edit true", open and close the quest book then type "/bq_admin edit false", this toggle will allow autoclaim to start working, and the bug will be gone and the game should be playable.
Sorry for any inconvenience.
Updating Worlds
Due to the way vanilla function files work, the following steps must be taken when updating existing worlds.
Copy the folder "template/data/functions/skytouched"
Into the folder "saves/<world name>/data/functions/skytouched" make sure to delete your old skytouched folder first to keep everything synchronized.
I am hopefully going to get a mod that will do this automatically, but until then we have to manipulate files on updates.
