Jei doesn't show any recipes for bricks that can be done without a pit kiln. Since pit kilns require straw, and straw can only be made with a drying rack, endgame players will be bottlenecked on the production of several basic resources, forcing them to use obsolete technology to get things done.
One possibility would be adding heated basin stamping recipes to smelt clay directly into bricks. Another would be adding more bulk blasting recipes.
Is this worth looking into?
