This modpack is still in beta! Expect the addition of new mods, changes to the progression and worldgen. If there are any breaking changes, information will be provided in the changelog.
Since Verdant Idea is still growing, all feedback will be greatly apprecieated. I took a few risky choices, so I'd love to know what you think!
And obviously if you find any bugs - please let me know!
Known issues:
- some of the bee information in the JEI is wrong
- some recipes use vanilla seeds, while others use their AgriCraft variants
- there's no reliable way to get industrial hemp seeds for plant oil production
- clipping drops are rarer than intended; flowers have a 25% chance to drop

- How do I get planks?
Tree bark works just like normal planks.
- I can't find dirt!
Dirt should be easy to find inside caves, inside stony shores or in the cliffsides.
- How do I get bees?

- How do I get vanilla flowers?
Flowers can harvested using a clipper from flower crops. To get them, you need to crossbreed some of the plants. Check JEI or The Beauty of Botany quest line for more info.
- Crossbreeding flowers is taking a lot of time!
Please use a watering can, it should not take more than just a few minutes if you use it.
💡Future Ideas
Progression:
- Change some of the gear recipes and add gear-oriented quests
- Add proper end game content (regrowing the world!)
- Improve existing progression at Thermal and Mekanism tiers
- Add more information about existing content
- Make oceans actually useful in some way
World regrowth:
- Make it possible to bring biomes back to their vanilla variants
- Add semi-automatic ways to make land reclamation easier
- Animals and zombie villagers will be able to spawn in the vanilla biomes
- Add multiple tools for reclamation, accessible at different progression stages
Balancing:
- Separate bees from resource seeds, while making it worth to do both
- Increase the overall difficulty, especially late game
- Rebalance some of the resources and make getting them more engaging
Other:
- Change the worldgen of some of the biomes to make them feel more unique
- Add optional exploration content
- Change sky, water and grass colors of wasteland biomes to more lifeless colors
- Replace tree bark with custom dead planks for clarity
