Mystical Flower seeds "need mana", no explanation is provided?

No explanation is provided by the quest book and the flowers don't grow when near a mana pool, needs an explanation or the mana requirement removed.
I can't find how to grow them either, even tried a Mana Spreader on them to try and give them mana.
This is possibly an AgriCraft bug, but this requirement will be removed in the next version (along with some other changes to these seeds).
