Fantasia - A Minecraft RPG

A modpack that aims to convert Minecraft into an RPG, giving you a sense of adventure and immersion as you play through!

Unlike vanilla and other packs, Fantasia is slower paced, letting you enjoy the early to mid-game far more whilst also giving you more time to immerse yourself in its world.

Changes to the Gameplay Loop

Progression has been almost entirely overhauled through numerous additions and changes:

  • Character Customization - you start the game and make your own custom character! Seems limited, but you can get creative, especially with the Online Library. You can also change your clothing and hair mid-game with combs and threads.
  • Rock Knapping - stone tools are now made through knapping stone and combining with handles.
  • Steel - the replacement for diamond gear, made from raw iron and coal in an alloy smelter.
  • Smithing - you can't create weapons, tools and armor in the crafting table anymore, instead you have to smith things.
  • Diet - each nutrition gives you a certain benefit, encouraging you to farm and have varied meals to get multiple benefits
  • Harder Natural Regen - you can't simply heal fast from eating foods anymore, instead you must use healing items such as bandages or suture kits.
  • Seasons - as time passes in Fantasia, the environment changes, encouraging farmers to have multiple farms meant for the appropriate season.
  • Trading - the trades have been tweaked where most playstyles can benefit and make money, you also can't steal things from villages anymore, otherwise the guards will be after you
  • No Early Nether Portals - you can only make them post-Nether, but there must be a way to get there… maybe go down?
  • Different Progression to the End - instead of collecting blaze rods and ender pearls, the eyes are obtained through bosses, and instead of 12 eyes there are only four. 

An Immersive World

There seems to be something more to this world… A story perhaps?…

  • Worldbuilding - the world is vast and it has history, you can see remnants of the past from structures of old, you can also learn about its history through…
  • Unique NPCs - NPCs spawn in the Hall of Decimus, the hub world of Fantasia. They can help you through your journey by selling you stuff or have Murdoch who can tell you about the history of the lands.
  • Questlines - while the tutorials are used to guide the player, there are other questlines that offer rewards or more information about the lore.
