Overview:

Combining the Village Management of Tango Tek's: TekTopia with a resource hunt of ezWastelands + WastelandMeteors, I being you Wasteland Topia, Where you enlist the help of an existing or new village in generating resources to rebuild the barren world you find yourself on.

This pack is mostly vanilla + TekTopia, some starting hints are in "The Beginning" story below, however after that it is up to you to explore the world and shape it as you see fit.  While the over world needs some significant regrowth, the neither, and end are fully formed.  No recipes are changed, however a few continence recipes have been added (search for wasteland blocks, and meteor blocks in JEI)

The Beginning (entering a new world):

You find yourself in a very barren world near a chest,  looking inside you find some minimal food rations, some bad wooden tools, and two iron picks.  A quick look around shows there is some water on this world, but no dirt or rocks besides some meteors scattered around.

With the iron pick you mine into these meteors, and find it contains various stones, dirt, clay and other useful materials.  Some meteors even contain chests with plant items including saplings.

Using the saplings to start growing trees what will you do?

* Use emeralds and other resources from the meteors to start your own village OR

* Search the wastelands to find an existing village.

Either way:

* Help the village grow

* Investigate rumors of meteors deep underground containing more precious materials, but be careful some have monster spawners, including a hostile fish. (Hint if you see a "ripple" in the ground you may be near one of these, use it as a bulls eye.. of course seeing the concentric circle hills of the ripple can be hard with all the other circular formations)

* Go to the nether to battle blaze and wither skeletons

* Search for a strong hold, and warp to the end for the dragon battle and flight

Custom Recipes:

Look in JEI for:

sand*

red sand

podzol

mycelium

gravel*

obsidian*

spider webs (you will need to find one in a stronghold first)

sticks (shortcut 2 logs -> 16 sticks)

chests (shortcut 8 logs -> 4 chests)

Chisel & Bits Chisels (needs quartz + original materials and different recipe shape)

Elder Guardian spawn egg [end game item to get sponge, requires nether star]

Evocation Illager spawn egg. [end game item to get Totem of Undyeing, requires dragon skull]

* There are other ways to get these resources, these are provided as alternatives.

Hints:

* Saplings are in chests within some of the meteors (chests are in random locations

* If you fill a TekTopia mineshaft with smooth stone you should be able to get ores from your miners

* Obsidian can be found in the underground meteors, or by crafting

* Sugar cane, melon Seeds, and Pumpkin Seeds are in the nether fortress chests

* For a enchanting table you can also get books by raiding a village or stronghold.

* Item frames are crafted from leather (by making a grass patch and letting passive mods spawn)

* Item frames can also be found in existing villages

* Underground meteors create a "bullseye" or "ripple" of concentric circles on the terrain gen, frequently easy to see in the mini-map.. deeper the meteor less obvious the ripple.

* Underground meteors have spawners: Skelly, zombie, witch, cave spider, and guardian.

The Mods:

Default World Generator (port) (by ezterry)

Makes the wasteland w/ customized preset, the default world gen, also forces the bonus chest and modifies the bonus chest loot

CraftTweaker (by Jaredlll08)

Add some helper recipes for sand, clay, gravel, obsidian (if you don't want to craft it obsidian is in the deep underground meteors), and mycelium.  While it may not be easy you should be able to get most items from the game, with the exception of sponges.

Light Level Overlay Reloaded (by oldjunyi)

Shows the light level, default F4 toggles (no not alt-F4)

Chisels & Bits (by AlgorithmX2)

Create custom blocks by sawing and chiseling existing blocks, NOTE: if you chisel grass you will not get a grass block back even if you fill it with grass bits (it will look like a grass block but you will not be able to plant, or spread grass, thus you must use silk touch to move grass)

Custom Main Menu (by Lumien231)

Changes the look of the minecraft main menu

ezWastelands (by ezterry)

The wasteland world generator

Wasteland Meteors (by ezterry)

EzWasteland addon, generates the meteors.

Better Builder's Wands (by Portablejim)

Placebo (by Shadows_of_Fire)

Library for Toast Control

Inventory Sorter (by cpw)

Just Enough Items (JEI) (by mezz)

Makes it easy to look up forgotten or new recipes

TekTopia (by TangoTek)

The main mod! Villager Management

Xaero's Minimap (by xaero96)

Provides a small minimap, and waypoints.  To help the finding your way back in the wastelands (You will regret it if you don't set waypoints, the wastelands is very uniform on larger scales of a few hundred blocks. (Hint press "U" to see/edit waypoints, and "Z" to zoom the map in the corner temporarily)

Default Options (by BlayTheNinth)

Mostly to disable auto jump by default (You can re-enable it of course)

Fairy Lights (by pau101)

Mod to put up strings of lights for festivals and holidays

Resource Loader (by Lumien231)

Mostly to override the wasteland block texture with a lighter color one, also provides custom images on the Main Menu

Toast Control (by Shadows_of_Fire)

Stop telling me to press WASD and to punch a tree (the later is particularly annoying since it was on top of the minimap, and it can be a while to get a sapping)

The One Probe (by McJty)

Multiplayer:

While many types of multiplayer worlds may exist here are some of my ideas, and how to use the existing Server Files to run the Coop multiplayer worlds mentioned

Basic Coop (1-3 players):

Start a new world, and share the resources of the bonus chest, try to split up on the first day between two surface meteors to speed up your search for a sapling.  Start by working togther to build a village, optionally building child villages a distance from the main village on your own once resources are gathered.

Large Coop (4+ players):

Here the existing world gen is going to be lacking food unless you spawn near a village, I recommend either find a seed near a village Or spawn two bread, and two apples for each player in addition to the contents of the bonus chest, once the extra food is distributed you can start as normal (or if near a village simply loot for food)

Like in basic coop the idea would be to build a communal city, and likely then branch off in smaller groups/individual villages

Joining an Established Coop world:

Once a coop world is established a starter kit should be assembled in survival for any additional players to get started

VS: (2 players or groups in the same world):

Here the idea would be to have a common spawn where two players/teams separate to work on 2 separate villages, and possibly mini contries, this could be friendly where memebers for  the teams sometimes switch to work on the other projects, or competitive.

For now no such auto generated world exists, I intend to make a save file with some 2 group starting points in the future.  Each team would play as if coop above.
