The point of this setting is that it can change the colors of the world. For example, there is a SuperDuperVanilla preset (the default shaderpack preset with current colors), and there is a vanilla preset (changes the colors of the world to match the vanilla/Vibrant Visuals style).

The correct term would be "style" because what you described is not limited to just world presets
