The Bedrock and Java Editions of Minecraft have many differences beyond just their coding languages. Some textures, animations, interactions, and sounds are altered when flipping between those iterations of Minecraft vanilla. This pack makes an attempt at syncing features between the games, providing an alternate route to parity.

Vanilla-parity changes were made

The edition type in the parenthesis means that the change was made in the specific pack for THAT game. "Compromise" means that the change was made in both packs.

  • (Compromise) Block destruction textures now match closely
  • (Compromise) Matched names of items, blocks, and entities
  • (Bedrock) Chickens and parrots now have smooth wing flap animations
  • (Bedrock) Matched Ender Dragon’s breath particles to Java vanilla
  • (Bedrock) Enderman body now jitters when angry
  • (Bedrock) Made all horse sounds similar to Java's volume
  • (Bedrock) Made walking sounds on blocks similar to Java’s volume
  • (Bedrock) Made tuff hitting sounds similar to Java’s pitch
  • (Bedrock) Matched explosion sounds to Java vanilla
  • (Bedrock) Made some block rotations comparable to Java’s rotation
  • (Java) Most animated textures now move smoothly
  • (Java) Matched aquatic foliage textures to Bedrock vanilla
  • (Java-Optifine option) All blocks that emit light are rendered fully emissive in item form, as most do in Bedrock vanilla
  • (Java-Optifine option) Drowned eyes are rendered emissive
  • (Java-Optifne option) Nylium, leaves, obsidian, glowstone, and clay blocks rotate randomly when placed
  • (Bedrock) Most particles face the player’s screen, rather than their location
  • (Bedrock) Drowned model now closely matches the player’s inflation
  • (Bedrock) Matched most block animation speeds for textures to Java vanilla
  • (Bedrock) Water texture now closely matches Java vanilla’s texture
  • (Bedrock) Bed messages now match Java vanilla’s messages
  • (Bedrock) Water fog amounts are equal in all biomes

  • (Bedrock) Iron Golems now animate similarly to Java Iron Golems → MCPE-39548
  • (Java) Both Iron Bars bottom textures are oriented to match its top textures, and matches Bedrock vanilla → MC-227330
  • (Bedrock – subpack option) Phantom attacks can now be heard → MCPE-35222
  • (Bedrock) Dispensers, tripwires, pressure plates, buttons, and other blocks that play click.ogg are now 3D, and smoothly trail off after a distance (Credits to GoldenHelmet for the sound_definitions.json code) → MCPE-14420
  • (Bedrock) Drowned arms are spaced further from their body → MCPE-82082
  • (Bedrock) Soul Lantern now animates → MCPE-89643
  • (Bedrock) The hotbar is now aligned with the center of the screen → MCPE-46975
  • (Bedrock) Entities launching projectiles now make a launching sound (Credits to Sean Berman for the sounds.json code) → MCPE-50609
