Before you comment that it 'CRASHED YOUR GAME' Google your crash log
99% OF THE TIME YOU ARE HAVING GRAPHIC DRIVER ISSUES.
If your game is crashing, you can delete the 'font' folder and it should load.
↳ Thanks to Zartrix @ PMC for pointing this out. This is a minecraft bug from custom fonts and the culprit seems to be outdated intel HD drivers. If you have a lower end GPU or integrated graphics, this is the reason for your crash.
If your text boxes are black, you can delete the 'font' folder or use a different shader.
↳ Whatever shader you are using is conflicting with the font in this pack if you see black boxes.
