This resource pack provides custom-made 3D book models & textures, complete with positioning for how they'd look in your inventory, in 1st/3rd person, on the ground, in item frames, held by villagers, in the mouths of foxes & even on your head! It stays faithful to the vanilla items' look and colours.
Currently, all 4 book items have been made - books, enchanted books, books & quills and written books. In the future, I am thinking of implementing every single level of each enchant's enchanted book (via OptiFine), with its own cover icon, though that will be a large undertaking.
