Detail Brush is a resource pack that brushes some detail into Minecraft items that currently look flat, poorly drawn or difficult to read, in an attempt to make them more cohesive with JAPPA's art style.
Generally, I've tried to preserve the item's original silhouette whenever possible, but some items have been reworked more drastically than others, such as Nether Wart, soups and such. A full list of changes is documented in the changelogs.
Background
I am a huge fan of JAPPA's new textures, and believe they have brought a much needed refresh into Minecraft. However, for a myriad of reasons (often involving preservation of classic looks, or copyright limitations), some textures cannot be extensively modified, won't be, or haven't been prioritized yet; we only recently got an update for Clocks and Compasses in 1.17, for example. So I decided to take on these textures on my own, and see if I can do justice to the new art style.
Such attempts are not meant to be "the right way" or anything; they're merely my own interpretation of Minecraft's objects. If you have any constructive feedback to give about the textures, feel free to do so! I'd love to hear what you think I could improve on! =)
Customizing
If you didn't like one or more of the edits, but would still like to use others, you can access the .zip file and remove them individually. To do so, you'll need a program that can open .zip files, such as WinRAR or 7zip.
