Have you ever fished in Minecraft and just wanted more? Have you ever looked at other games, or servers, and wished the fishing experience was more in-depth? Well, Fisherman+ is here to remedy that, and more. This data pack focuses on expanding the fishing loot table, and adding a new element to fishing known as “Sea Creatures''. Fisherman+ adds incentive to fishing while posing a challenge for players with bosses, and diverse strategies.
Fisherman+ adds over 140 new loot options for fishing broken up into 3 rarities. You can find loot as Junk, Common, or Treasure. You can fish up anything from a piece of rotten flesh to a netherite ingot if you're lucky enough. Or you can fish up a sunken treasure, containing any possible junk, to treasure items. You could get a box of fish, or you could get a box of diamonds and netherite. And if you're really feeling lucky, you may fish up Atlan’s Treasure, containing custom loot and items only possible to obtain by killing high-level sea creatures.
Continuing, Fisherman+ adds a new mechanic to fishing, known as “sea creatures”. These sea creatures come in 8 possible rarities. These rarities range from vanilla sea creatures to powerful bosses with at most 2x the hp of the Wither. These sea creatures drop custom loot, from minerals to books. To brand new custom fishing rods, such as the Rod of the Sea, dropped from the Sea Emperor. If you are lucky enough, you can fish up the Jade Extinction, which drops the Jaded Fishing Rod. With over 74 Sea Creatures, you’ll never get tired of fishing and fighting these.

Moving on, Fisherman+ now has custom Fishing rods. There is 1 fishing rod for every Sea Creature rarity. With most being able to be fished up from Sea creatures or unboxed through Atlan’s Treasure. You can find your first custom fishing rob by killing a Drowned Fisherman. These Fishing rods increase the chance for Treasure or Sea Creature loot. Each rod is designed for any play style.
Fisherman+ also has a Sea Encyclopedia for you to track the Sea Creatures you've slained. It shows the ancient lore of the sea creatures and some hints about what they may drop. All entries are available from the start.
Fisherman+ brings a new feel to vanilla Minecraft fishing. With more loot, and treasure boxes. As well as Sea creatures to fish up and fight for rewards. And brand new custom items to use to progress your fishing journey. Fisherman+ is the answer to the lack of depth in the vanilla Minecraft fishing system.

What's next for Fisherman+? The 1.2 updates to Fisherman+ is already being planned out, the next update will release soon and will introduce more Sea Creatures, More rods, and new armor. Along with this, it'll also introduce a Sea Encyclopedia, with every Sea creatures lore and drops listed. Update 1.3 can be many things, lava fishing, armor, custom models, you can always suggest new ideas.
