My GRIMDARK ARMOR pack is a fresh take on the traditional Minecraft textures. Drawing inspiration from other dark fantasy worlds, this pack provides armor textures with more detail and will look great in your medieval worlds while maintaining play-ability (gold armor is immediately recognizable as gold armor for example). This pack contains only armor and apparel textures which makes it easy to pair with a builder's pack of your choosing or to simply enhance your look while building with the vanilla block textures.
If you just want armor, elytra, and horse armor textures, this is the pack for you. However, if you like this pack I would encourage you to complete the set with my GRIMDARK TOOLS, or grab all my textures in the GRIMDARK BATTLEPACK, which includes not only the matching tool textures and variants but also custom textures for crafting tables, torches, lanterns, chains, stained glass, sun, moon, skies and more!
This pack also includes 'Royal', 'Light' and 'Heavy' variants for all armor types (Optifine Required). These variant armor textures are accessible by renaming those items at an anvil. For example, renaming your Diamond Helmet to include "Heavy" somewhere in the name will change the texture to the heavy variant, renaming your leather boots to include the word "Light" will change the texture to the light variant, etc. Any naming conventions that do not include a variant identifier will use the standard texture.
The following armor variants are currently available (Optifine Required):
Helmet: Light, Heavy, Royal, Samurai, Pirate, Hidden
Chestplate: Light, Heavy, Royal, Samurai, Pirate, Hidden
Leggings: Light, Heavy, Royal, Samurai, Pirate, Hidden
Boots: Light, Heavy, Royal, Samurai, Pirate, Hidden
Elytra: Wooden, Chainmail, Iron, Golden, Diamond, Netherite
Leather Armor Only: Sylvan
I cover more detail and showcase many textures from the pack in the videos below (PLEASE NOTE: this pack only includes the armor textures displayed in the video, for tools and more, please check out my GRIMDARK BATTLEPACK):
