M-Ore Variants is a vanilla-friendly resource pack that changes the texture of ores depending which block is next to it. It that adds 43 new ore variants (for now)... They appear naturally and can be obtained by placing the block you want next to an ore block. Each variant makes the caves and nether more interesting and less monotonous.
This pack uses an OptiFine’s CTM feature called “Overlay” to add the new variants.
